@radamo: That is not the latest MRPI version (in fact, it's even older than the various other recent reports, so old that I'd have to dig into the code history to pinpoint a date ;p), which is why it fails.
That said, given that OOS error, even with a recent MRPI version, I'd expect a gentle failure because the Python package will do another free space check later on ![]() How do people manage to fill up these things ?! Last edited by NiLuJe; 07-19-2019 at 11:36 AM. |

A number of years ago, there where some posts where people created a huge file to prevent OTA updates.
AND Often a partial OTA update would 'stall' (or otherwise fail) when it ran out of space. (We have never recommended this "fill it up to keep it safe" idea.) |

Both are windows 10. Home one is built by me and the office is a Dell Laptop. I think the differentiating factor is the AntiVirus/Malware software we use in the office. I am fairly certain it hosed something in the transfer process. We use a Vipre Endpoint product and it can be very aggressive at times.

MacOSx is the most frequent culprit - same sort of thing, file transfers are all processed (attacked) by "safe archive handling". (On MacOSx, that is a default setting which can be changed.) |

Yup, actually had to jot something down because of macOS' dubious quality of life features and how stuff is packaged in Kobo-land...
Has a fun bit about how completely unusable apple's AZERTY layout is, too. .. (three fingers for a pipe, really?) Last edited by NiLuJe; 07-20-2019 at 08:45 AM. |

Okay, latest round of updates:
* Added evtest, evemu & cURL to USBNetwork (Note that Kindle ships evtest & cURL, so, these are not symlinked). * Fixed ZSH on non en_US locales (... *sigh*). EDIT: Ah, knew this sounded familiar. Turns out I already had fugly workarounds in place for nano & tmux... And, mainly, tweaked MRPI some more: Besides fixing the utter breakage on Indian PW4s, it will now display giant icons. For instance, if something fails to install. Hopefully that should draw people's eyes to the screen so they don't assume stuff went fine when everything went kablooey? (Also, gives me a quick way to ask if they're using an up-to-date MRPI version: Did you see a giant icon of a box? No? Then there's your problem ;p). Last edited by NiLuJe; 07-20-2019 at 03:55 PM. |
