Overall what's most important is the story text.

Adding chapters in the hundreds can get long and extremely tedious when some of those translated stories get so long. Keeping that story updated can be even more tedious - that's why I love FFF. As for the additional metadata, it does help if it's there to start with, but just getting the site to download the story text is key.

It's easy to manually add genre/tags/covers and anything else. I do mention it if they don't work, sure, but most of the time with wuxia sites I go to novelupdates and pull the genre/tag information and manually add it anyway.

I also clean up the title, insure the author is the actual author, not the translator, add the noveupdates score in a column and original language information as a tag. Adding that metadata may take some time, but it only has to be done once.

I'm one of those people that like to have *all* the information available. It's a compulsion that I just can't get around. And I blow through even those really long stories in a day or two when I'm not busy. Now that the fanfiction I generally read has slowed to a snails pace, these webnovel sites are my main source of reading material interspersed with new semi-interesting books that come out from time to time, so any new sites are always welcome.

So, I'll continue to add that I'm thankful for all the work you put in, and Jimmxinu as well. This plugin has seriously given me a lot of time to spend doing other things (like reading).

When I bookmark a story on AO3 I can add my own tags and I'm wondering if it would be possible for FFF to pick up those tags as well?

I did not know that was a thing.

It looks like your bookmark data is included in the page we scrape for story metadata, but only if you are logged in.

I can collect bookmarktags as a new site-specific metadata item, but I will also have to add an always_login option that will have to be set to true. You will need (naturally) a valid user/pass.

If you're going to want your bookmark summary too, now is the time to ask.

I don't know if it helps, but the files have originally been downloaded by the website version of the old FFF, but only as TXT.

Sure. If you can convert the URL to an <a href=...> and have the FFF 'Search EPUB text for Story URL' switch on, that will work. The epub attached works.

If you're asking for help figuring out how to make it part of conversion, that's outside my area of expertise.

For looking at SQLite databases, I usually use a Firefox plugin called "SQLite Manager". With that I can do a query and it has an option to save the result as a CSV file. I think most of the other SQL database managers have a similar function.

Well... I look at this more indepth... and there are some difficulties... I can't get the login to perform for the 'member' content...

Getting the metadata is extremly hard... there are no specific 'class' to get to make sure it is the same each time.

I'm nackered right now, so finishing this is going to take a while, and even then, I'll probably have to get help with the login... *sigh*.
