0. Patch firmware for always hyphens for Kepub.
1. Apply path for hyphens, posted in this tread above.
2. Get book in FB2
3. Convert to EPUB, by fb2mobi: https://github.com/rupor-github/fb2mobi
* in settings switch off hyphens;
4. Convert to KEPUB by kepubify: https://github.com/geek1011/kepubify

Maybe this is the reason to see the headers like calibre ones
And probably, changing this file css, you can improve it ...

It is nice that our kobo can read fb2, so please tell us if someone in the community can "repair" this file to have a better look and footnotes fully operative.

Mystery solved!
For any reason the russian language was disappeared from my /mnt/onboard/.kobo/kobo/eReader.conf file

[ApplicationPreferences]
ExtraLocales= ru

I must add I checked about one hundred pages (in a kepub book with the attached dic) and I have not found a break of one single letter.

The problem exist in any case of convertation:
original file FB2 → EPUB → KEPUB
original file EPUB → KEPUB
EPUB

Those book was purchased in litres.ru

I downloaded the attached file with the hyph_pt_BR.dic from here: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/e...gues-do-brasil.

It's a libre office project and it's free to use.

I opened the file and the second line is:

4'4

and it's not the same I saw in other dictionaries where the first line is:

LEFTHYPHENMIN 2
RIGHTHYPHENMIN 2

It's possible to anyone add the portuguese file to the database (first post) and convert to use at Kobo?

EDIT: my kobo don't have any hyph file inside the dictionaries folder.
