I just double checked and the RU dictionary is going into the same place as the EN dictionary and the EN dictionary does work with all versions of 4.38. |

Catalan dictionary?
Could someone please create the hyphenation dictionary for Catalan? The LibreOffice Catalan spellcheck dictionary file can be found here: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/e...sions/show/868
Thank you so much! |

@DNSB, could you please sticky this thread to make it easier for it to be found. Thanks.

Nice, thank you soo much!
It works quite well overall, but I’ve noticed a couple of issues: 1) When a word is preceded by an apostrophed particle (e.g., m'apareixien), the hyphenation is rendered as m'- / apareixien ( / marks here the line change), which is incorrect in Catalan. The proper hyphenation should be at least m'a- / pareixien. Is there a way to correct this behavior? 2) When opening a book that uses the Catalan hyphenation dictionary, it seems to get stuck on the cover image. If you Touch the screen to go to the next page, the book closes. The only way to access the text pages is by using the lower bar menu to jump directly to a concrete page. After doing that, pages turn normally. Does this issue only occur with the Catalan dictionary? Thank you again! Last edited by serser; 04-23-2025 at 04:14 PM. |

I've updated the hyphenation dictionary to hopefully fix the incorrect hyphenation. Please test it and let me know if it works. |

1) Now it works just fine for epub books but the issue with the apostrophed particles (m', d', l', s') still occurs in kepub books. 2) The cover issue disappeared! Maybe I was too jumpy opening the book... 3) Since I installed KOReader, when I install one of your dictionnaires the following message is shown: [KFMon] Internal storage unavailable, bye! Does it interfere with the normal functioning of the dictionnaires outside KOReader? Thank you very much one more time! |

The hyphenation dictionaries have nothing to do with KOReader. They only have to do with RMSDK or KePub in Nickel. As for the KePub issue, that's down to your settings in calibre. Go to Preferences > Plugins. Search for KoboTouch. Then when the plugin is found ans selected, click Customize plugin. Click on the Hyphenation tab. Change the following... Minimum word length to hyphenate to 5 Minimum characters before hyphens to 3 Minimum characters after hyphens to 3 Minimum consecutive hyphenated lines to 5 After you do this, you'll need to send your KePub again to your Kobo to replace the ones you have on there. The problem is that the default settings are allowing a two character hyphenation which is obviously incorrect. Last edited by JSWolf; 04-24-2025 at 07:09 AM. |

Can I install multiple hyphenation files? E.g. I want the German and English hyphenation files?

All right!
I just found one last issue today: when a word starts with an exclamation or question mark, the Spanish dictionary sometimes hyphenates words like this: ¿S- / abías, when it should be at least ¿Sa- / bías. Could you address this issue in the same way you resolved the one for the Catalan dictionary? Thank you SOO MUCH! |
