*blinks* It's chucking down with rain, blowing a gale (well, windspeeds up to 35mph anyway, apparently), and the people a few doors down from us are letting off fireworks!!

Pancakes sound like a very good idea

Preferably with vanilla ice cream melting on them

Deep dish apple pie in the oven.....kids coming for dinner,
Meat Loaf,
mashed potatoes,
stuffing
gravy and
biscuits!

I washed 3 loads, moved living room furniture, (my husband is a saint) cleaned and even found time for 1/2 hr of "Passage to India"

My new house has a magnificent view of the naval base and yesterday whiles removing the old skirting boards for the laying of new wiring the British warship HMS Arkroyal was just berthing, what a sight!!!

If she's still there tomorrow I'll post a pic

Still slaving away. It doesn't look as though I will finish in time (unless I work through the night ... which I may have to do). It doesn't help much that the kids are trying to "help" mommy ... and are tipping over buckets of water, and getting into everything.

Every time I get something done ... I have to come back a few minutes later and clean up another mess the kids made for me. (Gee, thanks kids!!)

Actually we go from summer straight to winter which are very mild, last winter the lowest we reached was around 13c and that was at night and summer the maximum was around 34, 35c
