Our last rabbit (Louise) loved Basil. Anytime I brought it in the house she would go crazy until I gave her some. She also liked garlic; but, her true passion was Basil.

I figure he's just got separated from mama to soon.........
I have had cats who were big on suckling. One of my little girls (who had leukemia .... she died young) used to clamp on to my neck at night (where I had a large mole) and would suck on it like mad. I really hurt the next day, so I eventually had it cut off.

I've got cats who have some serious people food addictions. Jonathan (Jon-Jon) is nuts about vanilla ice cream. The kitty in my avatar looks exactly like Jon-Jon. Morgan will do anything for lasagna. She also loves peanuts. One of my sister's cats (now gone) was insane for cabbage. Raw cabbage.

I probably mentioned this somewhere, sometime, but Kevin learned not only to open the cabinets, but to get out a can of Fancy Feast and open up the pop top. I had to put locks on the cabinets.

Cats continue to amaze me. They are remarkable creatures ... loving, loyal, and smart.

One of my daughter's cats insists in sucking her ear at every available opportunity. She was a rescued animal, abandoned on a mountainside when a very small kitten. We fed her with a syringe filled with kitten milk formula. Fortunately, it is only my daughter's ears that she is fixated on, so I can visit with mine intact.

Not quite, Ricky. But every time she sits down when her ginger cat is in, then she latches onto the nearest ear.

I've known cats who wanted to suckle. They were usually satisfied with a bit of my t-shirt. (Ears! Ouch!) One of my cats currently has quite a fondness for pastry, especially if it has custard in it (e.g. chocolate eclairs). Another of my cats wanted whatever I was eating-- it didn't matter much what it was, he'd still try to eat it if I let him. Including oranges-- I've known very few cats who liked citrus at all.

I think all my cats have liked garlic. When we had indoor/outdoor cats, we had a very difficult time growing garlic, because the cats would chew on it and flop down and roll on it.

What I'm doing right now (besides reminiscing about cats)... moping because I wasn't in Paris for the meetup. And trying to avoid work.

hee ! my cat hates citrus so much that she'd really like to tear it to shreds, the problem is she doesn't actually want to touch it, so when she is confronted by orange peels or something she crinkles up her eyes in the expression that means "nasty stinky !" and with her front paw she makes smacking motions... in the air, about 15cm above the offending citrus.

one of my cats can't be trusted around bread (bizarrely... i discovered this when i foolishly left some on the table and came home to find it shredded all over the living room floor) and they both like salad, but i've not noticed a special attraction to garlic.

I had a cat who adored cheese. When he got old and his liver began to fail, this was a rather convenient food, because I could insert his pills into a pellet of cheese and he'd eat it avidly.

My experience has been that female cats like carbohydrates, but males normally don't.

I don't think I've met a cat who didn't like cheese. It is, after all, dairy.

my cat who likes bread doesn't love cheese. she can take it or leave it, and mostly she leaves it.

the other cat, the one who fights orange peels from a safe distance, loves blood-orange flavoured yoghurt.

This was a (formerly) male cat. My cat Raven, who used to be able to nonchalantly walk through a room and snag a muffin off a low table to eat elsewhere (before he inexplicably developed a conscience), was also male. Most of my cats have been female, however, so I don't have a huge sample size to consider.

I think all my cats have been glad to get cheese when they can. I don't usually give it to them, as it makes the litter box very stinky.
