And I've only recently woken up. We had the Paris apero last night. It was a really good evening. Alex and Rebecca came from Switzerland (via Frankfurt). Zelda and Hadrien were there, plus about 15 people,

OK .... so lower yourself to their level. Take detailed notes regarding everything they want to know, then go back to their website and tell them all about it. I realize that you are dealing with idiots, but sometimes it's your only choice.

Ah... that's another tale...I've also had problems with connections - EVERYTIME it gets windy, I suffer dropouts..... I tell them on their pages, answer all their questions, again on the pages.....

Each night, about 3 am, someone replies, repeating the same (or closely similar) questions....this has been on-going for over 2 weeks....because each new support person doesn't bother to read what has happened previously.....I rang on one occasion and was assured full notes were taken and action would follow.......it didn't stop the web support persons asking further (similar) questions ..........

Ah yes ... been there and done that. There are times I have started conversations with so-called tech support by telling them to keep their mouths shut for the next three minutes and LISTEN. I then tell give them a summary of the answers to all the questions I have been asked 40 or 50 times, and explain to them that if they ask me any of those questions again during our conversation, I will reach through the phone line, down their throat, and yank their freaking lungs out.

I also tell them that I am taping the entire conversation (which is true) and that, if they have any problem with that, they'd better get someone competent on the line pronto.

I am not a fun person to be around when the people who are supposed to be providing support for a product don't know any more (and sometimes less) about the product than I do.

Scrach that .... I'm just not a fun person to be around generally.

Turned on the pellet stove this morning, that I finally installed yesterday. Great little, simple moment, the best ones in life.

speaking of simple, happy moments, just came back from having tea with patricia before she took the train home and am now having my stomach warmed by my purry little cat, who is still delirious with joy about my return. the paris meetup last night was brilliant, i think we all had a really great evening (i know i did !!). can't wait to do it again !
