Nice save! I captured a Rough Collie (Lassie type) that had bust its collar and run away after a car backfired (info I received after returning to the mutt's guardian). I found the doglet dangerously running across busy roads! I managed to entice the pup into my car using some ham I'd just bought from my shopping run. Took the doge along to my local vets, scanned it, found the owner in the database and was able to drop the pup back to its home and humans!

Moral of the story... get a well made and comfortable harness for your doglets... and definitely get them chipped!

Every animal I've had, for...hell, decades (including horses!) have been chipped. Those are literally lifesavers.

Good job you, with that Rough Collie!

Making a back-up of my Calibre library, it's been three and half months since I last did that, so it was overdue.

Meanwhile I'm looking at micro SD cards, the 64GB I have in my Nintendo Switch doesn't fit all my games anymore, and I do like to have all my games available. I'm thinking a 256GB or higher will do.

And after that it's time to do the weekly chores, but I'll have to take it easy, is just past 11 am and it's already over 27℃.

Depends on where you are from. I remember going with a group including some friends from Phoenix to watch a parade. The Vancouver contingent was complaining about the mid-August 30° temperatures being warm, the Phoenix contingent were adding layers.

Friday we had the first day over 25℃ this year, over a month late. Today it was officially 30℃ (city center was 32℃), which is over a month early. Less than two weeks ago it was 15℃, since then it was around 20℃ and in three days we went from around 20℃ to around 30℃, we just haven't had the time to get used to warmer weather.

In the past with these temperatures it would almost guarantee thunderstorms in the evening and during the night, but those have disappeared in the last couple of years. I miss them TBH, it cooled things down and cleaned things up outside (and reduced pollen).

Currently I've got my Dyson fan on the window sill, hoping it will pull in cooler air.

I would be ecstatic--seriously--if it were 80F here all summer. I keep kicking myself for not having made (better) provisions for a warm place in summer and cool in the summer, earlier in my life. (sigh).

I'm perfectly fine with a 20C/70F summer. Warm enough to be pleasant but still a temperature you can do things without breaking into a sweat instantly.

There are now more clouds, since this afternoon and there's also more wind. So hopefully tonight it'll cool down quicker than the last couple of nights.

Just had a lovely walk in light rain - I really enjoy these walks whilst listening to the rain drops bounce off my hood.

It's 9:15 PM local, and 32 C with 63% humidity. Texas summer.
