Trying to keep myself cognizant of the fact that clubbing a co-employee with their laptop if they don't stop slurping their coffee might be a BAD IDEA!

I just made a shopping list for what I still need to get for my two days at the Efteling themepark in two weeks time. I also ordered a good umbrella, because it looks like the rainy weather isn't going to stop any time soon.
I will also need to start thinking about what I want to download from Netflix, HBO or Amazon Prime, for the one evening I'm staying. I've also managed to set up Calibre that it will add the metadata to the front of the book when converting. Not sure why it didn't work, but it looks like it does now. So I'm contemplating if I want to reset my Kindle, (re)convert the books in Calilbre and transfer them back. It will mean I will have to sort all the books in collections again, but it might be worth it. |

Got a covid booster - it seems the CDC authorized an additional dose for those 65+ -- probably trying to avoid new cases happening in the summer as more folk are shedding masks in public.

Procrastinating. I need to start cleaning, but I can't seem to get myself to do so.
At least I've started laundry. I planned to wash my bed sheets today, but it looks like I can't. For the first time in weeks Luna has decided to sleep on my bed during the day and I'm not going to disturb her. I'll have to do them tomorrow, strip my bed before she has a chance to curl up on it. |

My father now thinks I'm crazy. Today I had to explain to him that my cross stitching hobby is actually 3 hobbies.
1. Finding and wishlisting (downloadable) patterns and kits. Seriously, my Etsy wishlist for cross stitching has over 150 items on it; most of it patterns, some are bundles of multiple patterns, and some needle minders. I'm now allowed to buy anymore, since I have three kits and five patterns, plus two active projects. So I need to finish some before I'm allowed to buy more. And tonight I discovered stitched pillow kits that are actually nice. 2. Buying stuff. Which includes patterns, kits, supplies (floss, fabric) and tools (needles, scissors) 3. The actual stitching. |

Yeah, I keep screencapping stitchery ideas, even though that hobby is back burnered just now.

I have a bunch of pins which I haven't pinned on anything, since the backings tend to come off and I'm afraid to lose the pin. So I decided to make them into needle minders for my cross stitching. That way I'll get some use out of them (and it gives me a good excuse to buy more pins).
I'm now figuring out how to do it and what I need to get. Most things are simple; tools, glue, magnets. But I'll need to get accessories for my Dremel to grind away the nub of the cut off pin (if I can't pull the whole pin bit off). And I don't know which one I need to get, or even if I have it already. I'll need to ask my father that, because there are so many accessories and grind bits that it's overwhelming. |
