Tomorrow night I'm going to a concert, my first virtual concert. It's by Nightwish and I'm really looking forward to it.
To make it even more fun I decided to treat myself. I'm getting some nice biological sodas and I had ordered a charcuterie plate at the local cheese store. Since this company has a store less than a two minute walk from where I live I opted to pick up the order and pay at the store. To my surprise today I received a package with my charcuterie plate (looks delicious). However, this means I haven't paid for it. So I just emailed the company to email me either a payment link or their bank account number so that I can transfer the money. I'm really looking forward to the concert. I only recently discovered Nightwish, so I'm not that familiar with their back catalogue, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. The teasers they've been posting on social media promise a magical concert. As advised I'm going to register my account and ticket number and log in to see if everything is working for me. |

Biological is the literal translation of "biologisch", so that's what my brain told me to use. |

I've been to a couple of virtual concerts in the past year. A cousin of mine is a singer with the Blacksburg Master Chorale in Blacksburg, Virginia, and she alerted me to them in a text. It was an interesting experience. Normally when people say the singers phoned in their performance, it's a bad thing, but they wanted to play it safe with the pandemic still reading, so that's literally what they did. I'm assuming they used Zoom or some similar technology to coordinate the results so seamlessly. The concerts were wonderful.

Although you can use the term "organic" ("organisch") in Dutch, it means the same. I've hardly ever heard it used in this context. In my mind it refers to a person's or animal's organs. To me "organisch eten" (organic food), just doesn't sound appetizing.
To me "organisch eten" has the same mental image as "biological food" does to you. Although technically correct, it just doesn't sound right. |

Preparing to go and visit an aged Aunt and Uncle who live quite close by, but owing to the pandemic restrictions,I have only been allowed to visit for just over a week now. Hopefully, the start of getting back to normal?

Getting ready for an evening of relaxation.
It's too warm for tea, but I did remember to fill my ice cube tray and put it in the freezer earlier today. I'm still undecided which snack I want. I'm about to start Helstrom, which was cancelled after one season, but it looks like it's right up my alley. I might do some cross stitching, I'm almost halfway through my current project. I need to finish the final section of a big colour block. The bottom half has a lot of confetti, a change from big colour blocks. When diamond painting I don't mind huge sections of one colour, but I get discouraged when I'm cross stitching a big section. |

BUBBLE Tea rant...
So...
I've read a book or two now, that talks about "Bubble Tea," as if it's this brand new cool thing, yadda. I won't bore you with all of it. However, I will save some of you speculation. If you've ever had Thai Iced Coffee, guess what? "Bubble Tea" is basically Thai Iced Coffee, made with a strong tea (of your preference) with, wait for it, cooked pearl tapioca in the bottom. So, make tea. Add lots of sugar (or sweetener, or syrup, you-name-it; some use fruit juiced) and add whole milk or heavy cream or half-and-half, depending on your tolerance for fat. Then add cooked pearl tapioca (apparently, preferably black) to the glass. Ta-DA! So-called Bubble Tea. Honestly, what, is EVERYTHING that's old new again? Hitch |

One of my previous projects had some minor confetti. But I have an app called Pattern Keeper on my Android tablet, which is great. If the pattern is supported you can highlight the symbol/colour you're working on. But my current project can't be loaded because the grid isn't square. So I have it on my iPad in an app where I can use a highlighter to mark my progress. The bottom half is confetti-ish, but the colours are similar enough that they won't bleed through if I go cross country. In diamond painting I really don't care if it's colour blocks or confetti. Although with confetti I often miss a couple, but it's much easier to get the right colour and put them in with plastic stones than with floss which you have to thread. |
