Either today or tomorrow, depending on how busy it is on the roads, my friends are returning from their vacation. So this morning I've been packing. So far my things upstairs and I've gather my things downstairs, ready to be packed. My father will pick up (most of) my stuff this afternoon.

They're most likely returning tomorrow, but there's a slim chance they make it today. I hope today. Mostly because it's going to rain tomorrow and I'm cycling back. Also, I'm really longing for my own bed. They'll let me know as soon as they know when they return, probably some time this afternoon.

No day in court planned. But for Tuesday our case is "on the roll" so the judge has to make some kind of decision, whether he passes judgement, wants everyone in court, needs more information or postpones. It's all possible, I think most likely is a postponement. With another court case we've been in this same stage and the judge kept postponing it, each time with two to four weeks, in the end he didn't make a judgement until over six months after the initial date.

But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be news (even wanting everyone in court or needing more information is at least something) and it will be good.

Ye gods, you need a MUCH more aggressive and assertive lawyer. I mean...I can't imagine a lawyer here just shrugging and putting up with that, putting the family through all this when the outcome is so patently assured, really. (assuming that selfsame judge hasn't been paid off, that is.) It's NUTS.

We have a good lawyer, she's incredible. But the courts have too many cases so it all takes a long time. This judge, however, seems a good one. During the first court hearing one of the first things he said was that he wouldn't accept any delaying tactics. Which is my uncle's favourite tactics. So hopefully he'll get a move on next week.

The court case I mentioned earlier had the problem that the judgement was to set a precedent. And judges don't like to do that, which probably accounts for the delay.

On a more positive note: I'm sleeping in my own bed tonight. My friends will return between 3 and 4 am. So I'm going to walk Keira one last time in an hour or so and then I can hop on my bike and cycle home. I'm glad, because for tomorrow there's a weather warning for strong winds and thunderstorms.

I got home last night. I slept late, in comparison to the past three weeks and I've just unpacked my things. Now I'm going to do laundy and the rest of the day I'm going to laze about and see what I'm in the mood for.

No news about the current court case of the Family Thing (yet). Today the judge was supposed to decide *something*, but nothing has been published. Which can have multiple reasons. Maybe they're behind schedule (it's vacation time), it might be that our case was scheduled for later in the day and the report hasn't been entered/uploaded yet, or something else. It has happened before.

Our lawyer emailed us throughout the day, whenever she checked the online database. Hopefully the ruling will be published tomorrow.
