I have a question about the "Short press Eink button" options.
The options are in Chinese. Does anyone have a translation of the different options? Thanks! |

So apparently the short press screen refresh is not a default setting, as i erroneously assumed.
Verifying 'Settings > Buttons > Short press Eink button' i had set the fourth list entry (the third chinese one after None) checked. This probably does the trick. I wish i'd be able to read and understand Chinese. |

Cool, you can set the eink button to toggle the frontlight.
If I don't take "none" as number one, these are the ones I could make out: 1 - unknown 2 - screen off 3 - quick refresh 4 - frontlight toggle (aka auto backlight) 5 - frontlight toggle (aka manual backlight) 6 - frontlight toggle (aka nightmode) 7 - unknown - seems to scroll down 8 - unknown - seems to scroll down 9 - toggle smooth/clear mode 10 - back button 11 - start application |

Apparently there is no way to get rid of the default long press option of the e-ink button. Only single and double short press are listed as configurable.

How can I disable blinking in this phone? It appears during unlocking and installing apps updates.
It's giving me headaches. Anyone? Thanks in advance |

Thanks for finding out about the different E ink button options!
Only thing to do now is to get of the really annoying long press function. Cheers, Fr |

That's one I'll probably use actually. It's still possible to toggle frontlight holding eink button+volume. |

My guess is that the options line up in the same order as given in the e-ink button introduction option.
I haven't time to test right now. |

For reference, this is Google translating all the options for 'short press E ink button'.

sticking on passcode
hi all,
first of all thanks for all your info, i appreciated the best apps to download for each category. i have a problem: when the phone is sleeping, when i type the passcode, it just sometimes just returns to the passcode screen.. if i keep trying/reboot it fixes it temporarily.. any ideas? i haven't used adb or root or anything crazy, the only thing i have done is install Noroot Firewall to block some of the traffic, and i recently updated to the latest version of the software: L1657.6.08.06.00 any help would be appreciated, i just bought this thing, this is a pretty major problem. |
