Try rebooting the Reader (using the reset button).
I have rebooted but it doesn't helps. You could also see if you have enough free space. My internal free space is 80 MB. I think this should be enough. My SD card has 16 MB |

Upps my posting disappeared, once again
I have rebooted the reader but it dosn't helps. My internal space is 80 MB My SD card has 16 MB. Maybe I made a mistake as I installed the hack builder to my SD card. That means I don't have a card reader and therefore I used my digital camera. I downloaded the file to my PC, than I unzipped the file to my SD card what was inside the camera. Afterthan I took the card into the reader. Last edited by BinTraden; 12-05-2007 at 04:12 PM. |

I'm not sure whether it is a flashed reader problem or not. Thing is that when pressing the enter button in the slideshow and lock screen feature I get nothing. Is there anybody that could possibly help me to solve that out?

how does one get the Copy Book hack to work?
I read the other thread, but what does SIZE+MARK mean? Does it mean both together at the same time? Does it mean SIZE then MARK? And from what screen? Same question for the memory refresh SIZE+SIZE. Thanks ![]() |

What is ".NET"
I'm a Mac user and a complete ignoramus when it comes to Windows. I have just installed Windows XP on my new intel iMac. I was able to upgrade the firmware on my reader which, of course, did away with the hacks I had installed. Now I can't get HackBuilder to run. What is the .NET and where do I put it? I must have my hacks back!

.NET is a programming framework that contains a large set of Microsoft libraries designed for use with C++/C# apps. You can get it from Microsoft's site.

Thanks for the explanation. I am back in business now. Hacks created, reader flashed-- now I can devote myself to Trollope for a few hours!
Thanks also for this wonderfu hack! It really adds to the ease and the pleasure of using the reader. I continue to be impressed with the knowledge and the helpfulness of the users of this forum. |

Not yet. We'll have to wait till after the first firmware update for the 505 for anything to possibly happen.

history hack not working
I used hackbuilder to flash several hacks into my reader, including the page flip and history hacks. Everything is working beautifully except the history function. When I flip the joystick up or down, I get the same effect as when I flip left or right. Down gives me the next page, even if I have never been to that page before. (If I jump to a distant page using direct page access, up and down simply give me the following or previous page.)
Do I misundertand something here? I think I checked the box for History when building the hacks--at least I intended to. (If I hadn't included something, shouldn't the up and down joystick moves do nothing?) The history hack is not nearly so important to me as the page flip, but I would like to fix it if I can. Do I need to reflash the reader? And if so must I reinstall the firmware to get rid of the hacks that are presently there? |
