Doesn't matter. People aren't required to maintain their posts from years ago. Things change -- hosting sites come and go -- links break. That's the internet. If @Turtle91 is willing ... so be it. Next time, consider PMing users asking them if they're willing to update an old post if you must, but don't bump fallow threads just for image maintenance (and don't bug users if they're not interested in your archeology project).
