I has mad keyboard skillz.

I'd settle for a sprain, however. I think that would heal more quickly than the chronic tendon damage I have.

I wish I'd sold my motorcycle before the planet had started to freeze.[/QUOTE]

Granted - But you only got enough money for a unicyle that you must ride in any weather.

I wish I rode into day on my motorcycle dispite the 30F temp.

(Steve - FYI if you are interested both HD and Honda sell awsome gear for winter riding.)

Actually, I've got awesome gear for winter riding. But I've decided to sell the bike because, as it is a standard cruiser model, it has no pollution control equipment, and so it pollutes more than a Hummer going uphill with the AC on, mile-for-mile (even as it gets better mileage than my car). I am therefore officially retiring it, and if I ever get another, it will be a bike (or maybe a scooter) with computer-controlled ignition and a catalytic converter... if not an outright electric.

Unicycles are NOT out of the question.

Granted: You rode in today. At approximately 4:59, the area has a freak ice-storm, and you're forced to leave the bike at work... downtown... in the open... when you go home.

I wish I had mad mechanics skillz, so I could convert my bike to an electric instead of selling it.

Granted. Your sole mode of transportation from now on will be a pennyfarthing and you must always say goodbye to everyone with a jolly old "Be seeing you" gesture.

I wish I could vote for a true leader who would help us become a sound and thoughtful nation.

Granted. Thanks for voting for the Clinton/Palin ticket.

I wish I hadn't eaten that cheesecake this morning.

Clinton-Palin? Cheesecake in the morning? A pattern is emerging...

Anyway, Granted: The cheesecake was all gone... you sleep-ate it last night. Not knowing this when you woke up, you had Bon-Bons for breakfast.

I wish Bartlett was running, and he had the West Wing writers' staff as advisors.

Granted - Bartlett is running but on a small oval track chasing his tail, since has no script because all the writers quit to take staff positions on the Clinton/Palin ticket.

I wish to take a ride on a charmed Quark and travel the universe in style.

Granted: A certain Ferengi, having been woo'ed by your S.O. to get you out of the house for a few weeks, has decided to take you on a ride in his cargo vessel, giving you a tour of the universe in a style only a Ferengi could manage. Don't forget your month's salary... you'll need it to pay the fare!

I wish I could think of something for the Corrupt-a-Saying thread.

Granted. Regretfully, the corruption got elected in a landslide.

Granted. In fact, granted with so much enthusiasm, that single becomes double, and then quadruple, then .... Now night and day are reversed.

I wish I could concentrate on work and the document in front of me that bears some similarities in duration with Paddington's Everlasting Toffee....

Granted - all you can do IS concentrate on that document while the toffee holds yours eye open at an unnatural angle with the ninja squirrel choir singing "We wish you were an Oscar-Myer Wiener", while sharpening their knives. They have set it up so you'll never know what split you.

I wish that out of 300,000,000 people we had better candidates for orifice (oops office).

Granted. You do have better candidates for office. Sadly they know better than to stand. And anyway, no-one would vote for them. (This is a sort of minority Big Brother thing, isn't it ).

I wish that the next post would be on-topic.
