And the next nightly (~tomorrow) should bring a fix for those strange lockups/reboots that occurred with the last few nightlies. Hurray!

Is there a way to add Koreader to the home screen i. e. to have a button to launch it directly? I admit, I am too lazy to open Kual first.

@goldencore: KPVBooklet does one better: you'll see your ePubs (& co) on the Homescreen, and clicking them will launch KOReader . |

Thanks @NiLuJe: The Readme for KPVBooklet doesn't mention my firmware version. Will it work anyway Oh and by the way: My deadlock issues are solved by the current nightly of KOreader! Good job! Last edited by goldencore; 12-04-2014 at 04:35 PM. |

@goldencore: The latest version should even support FW 5.6.1, IIRC . |

One question about hyphenation. Is there any settings in Koreader to skip word shorter of x characters.

I have a new bug report: I was reading a PDF in landscape mode (not reflowed) and when I tapped the lower right corner to change the appearance of the progress bar the Kindle froze and rebooted after about 30 seconds. This is reproduceable! KOreader version: v2014.11-5-g199f864 |

@jation: No, I don't think so. @goldencore: Thanks for the report. Will try to reproduce. Is this for any document? What about epub/mobi? |

Where is the best place to get Startdict formatted dictionaries that work properly with Koreader? I ask because I'm not able to get the dictionary function working on my PW1. I'm wondering if the dictionaries themselves are the issue. Here's what I tried: I downloaded the Wordnet and The Collaborative International Dictionary of English from http://abloz.com/huzheng/stardict-dic/dict.org/. The dictionaries were installed to koreader/data/dict. I tried both the *.idx and *.ifo versions. I don't get any definitions returned when long pressing a word in using koreader with an epub file. What should I try to get a english dictionary working? |

There's no "idx" or "ifo" version of stardict dictionaries. The "idx", "ifo" and "dict" or "dict.dz" files all together form a stardict dictionary. So you have to copy all three files to that directory.

What does "start to hang" mean? Does it ever successfully log in? Does the "hanging" stop then? Is it OK when running Koreader again later?
