Thanks to DiannaInVA and trekk for pointing out the nifty status bar tweaks. BTW, the goto page and bookmark features do not work in the 8/3 nightly for epub documents. mj |

I was reading a mobi when the goto failed. If that matters.

I observed a strange thing about GOTO - in my case after hitting RETURN (arrow) nothing seems to happen. However after hitting PAGE goto works fine - though it may take a considerable amount of time to get to the desired page if the distance is large and the file is big enough (say 600 -800 pages). Quite often it hangs on a large distances betwen pages - say more than a hundred pages distance. Can anybody confirm? Maybe that is the reason why GOTO never works for some of you - try to use PAGE instead of a RETURN. Use it on a smaller page spans. Btw last nightlies haven't worked for me too...

Thanks for the reports so far. It will probably need a few days to sort this all out.

Should the nightlies work on Kobo's, too? |

No, most probably not for the latest firmware, as it was build with an armhf toolchain. The nightlies are oriented towards Kindles and are softfloat toolchain based.
And it might be possible that the Kobo binaries were not stripped, depending on how they were build. We have some bigger changes to the build mechanism in the queue right now which will unify the build mechanism to some degree. However, Kobo (newer firmware) and Kindle will sport different builds even in the future - but share one source code, though. |

Zoom feature
Hello,
first of all, let me thank the developers for creating first useful PDF viewer. Unfortunately, the Amazon's default software is rather ridiculous. I have to say KOReader is the way to read the PDFs. However, there is one thing I am missing and that's the Zoom option. I have several technical books which are basically image scans wrapped in a PDF. Because there is a lot of tables, formulas and images, the OCR does not produce acceptable results. Along that, the books are in the A5 format so I am stuck with a picture covering 2 pages from the A4 scan on the Kindle display. For sure I am pretty much aware You are working in Your own free time, but are there any plans to implement the Zoom functionality? The way the Amazon's own PDF viewer works would be more than sufficient. Once again, thank You very much for the excellent work, JW |

Not sure if it works for you but when I have to zoom I use page cropping. Works quite well for the time being although it is a bit cumbersome

Accessing File Manager from within KOReader
I have been using KOReader regularly to read ePUB and pdf documents. Many times I want switch between multiple books. Currently, I am forced to exit KOReader, start KUAL, open KOReader and select Start in documents menu. Is there any way that I can go to File Manager from within KOReader and select the book I want to read rather than following the involved procedure mentioned above.

Yes! You should be able to go back to the file manager by opening the top menu (tap in the upper screen region) and tap the corresponding symbol on the right.

@mmjoshi what build are you using?
That process you are describing also happens to me but only when I choose "Open Last document", when I choose a book from File Manager via "Open in My Documents" that works okay. Just FYI |

Will download 08/13 nightly and try this out. Even then I think this functionality should work irrespective of how the book was opened. mj |
