What's your favorite font to read in?
My kobo is automatically set to Georgia (don't know if I did that, or if it came like that?), which I usually think is just fine, last night while having a terrible migraine that made it impossible to read, I started wondering if maybe using a different font would be easier on the eyes.
I played around with it a little bit, but I didn't like any of the other ones. That might have been because I don't really like change though ![]() Do you have a favorite font for reading? Do you prefer serif or sans serif fonts? Or do you just leave the font that is standard for the book you're reading? |

Helvetica... font used by news papers. Its a bit bolder than Georgia. Which to me makes it easy to see.

Helvetica is at best decipherable, and is spaced as a display font --- Univers is far more readable and more evenly spaced (but unfortunately suffers from some odd character shapes).
Frutiger and Formata are nice sans-serif choices for reading, as is Optima (if one has a high-enough resolution to capture that). |

I prefer a serif font for extended reading, like novels.

I like the one that's default on my Paperwhite 2. It's thicker than a standard font, which is good. Serifs are definitely better though.

As long as it's a serif type, I'm good.

Georgia is very nice, a bit too dark but that can be adjusted. However I don't like its "lower case" style numerals, so if I'm reading a book that has a lot of numbers then I use another serif font such as Amasis instead.
I think the line spacing is very important too, sometimes even a small adjustment in line spacing can make reading more comfortable for me. |

I don't care much for that, but for what it is worth I've set my PW fonto to Caecilia Condensed. A fine font.

Fonts are one of my favorite thing to play with for eReaders. I have modified the ones I use adding weight and resizing them.
Fonts that I use
I'm always looking for more readable fonts that work for me. There isn't many that do. ![]() |
