New PocketeDGe owner needs help :) amazon appstore and Kindle issues

so I can't get z4root to root it and try the other upates on here to try to get all the new 'issues' fixed.



If you do download the z4root app, I was stuck on getting it to work. The z4root app told me to turn the USB Debugging on. In order to do that a password is required. I did find the password on another site. So, I was able to finish the install of z4root. And, every thing is working fine.

It does play video, and very nicely, just has to be the right format etc.

Try your "Tube" app, or download TV.com (free), or convert any video file you have to ipod format per Turtlehead's instructions. There's more, I just don't know it all.

Ok, So I don't give up too easily - This device IS capable of playing flash video, unlike the superpad which is just not capable. Further hunting I found and updated the firmware so I am now on 2.2 and this also resolved the appstore issue I was having. I did find tv.com and the tube app - Now I am hunting to figure out how to get my hbogo and amazon instant video to work on it; there HAS to be a way . . . . if not already, maybe I can inspire a programming geek to write new code to enable it to be done!

ES File Explorer comes stock on the PE. This is probably the problem

I also need to figure out how to get the GAPPS going . . .
