Well, we do have a Kindle but I do not like reading on it at all. so I use my N800 and my Sony nx73v (I did not see the PDA option as I typically stop reading anything that begins with iPhone or iPod...)

Overall I read the most on my N800 indoors and my nx73v outdoors...and yeah, it's a real, ummmm, treat trying to find the same place in the book, if I want to try and read the same book on the other device. My better half loves the Kindle, but she also seems to like me too...which proves she is not very discerning.

Uhmm... I've put there the iliad, but the other "devices" that I use (or have used) to read aren't there:

onHandPC: I started out reading PG books in the onHandPC computer watch -- yes, I know that 102x64 pixels resolution is a bit low, but you always have your watch on you wrist, so it wins on availability; also it has backlighting (electroluminiscent background) and the batteries last a reasonable 3 weeks (always on mode) or 1 month and a half (auto blank display mode). Newton 2100: This one was a failure for me; the resolution and the contrast was somewhat off, so I only read some Sherlock Holmes in it. And yes, I bought it (ebay) intending to have a larger-than-the-zaurus device for reading books. Sharp Zaurus (SL5500 and SL6000): the battery is terrible, but the screen is very good; in fact the 4" screen at 480x640 of the SL6000 is superb. Also the suspend mode works like a charm so in 3 secs you have the device up wherever you left it. But I use it for reading comics, not books. Panning is fast so as long as a single picture fits on the screen it's very convenient. And for reading books the Iliad fulfill it's role perfectly (hope the community manage to speed up the boot time, though). So that is it for me .

I too think that Amazon hides the numbers of the kindle for a reason

![]() I own a prs500 that some friends brought for me in a USA trip (nowadays I could get the 505 in Spain for like 100€ more than what's sold in USA. So here I am impatiently waiting for another trip )(BTW: I used to read in my n-gage a lot, talk about crazy, until I got the 500... but haven't checked anything for it in the poll). |

From these statistics we can conclude that there are more PRS-505's in the world then Ipods, IPhones and PDA's together!

Yay! It's the design and the price I bet! |

well the PRS is so High here because it seems that this is one of the few communities ive ever seen for PRS support.

While the Kindle. Not only is support all over the place, many people use it as a wireless device where they dont even have to think about it while around the computer. I think the Kindle has outsold the PRS series. |
