well, i'm still pretty sure y'all texans are plotting *something* (and it's probably world domination ) but regardless, i did sincerely appreciate the help. i wish more groups of conspirators had that tradition.

We aren't conspirators here in Texas. We shoot people in the front, not the back. (That's when we're not shooting off our mouths....)

I just take words like "ugly" and chalk them up to personal opinion. It's just that a prefer personal opinion to be stated as personal opinion rather than absolute fact.

I cannot believe how completely whacked out I am right now. I was going to build a rolling litter box caddy for the master bedroom today .... but I am starting to wonder about the wisdom of pulling out my power tools. I think I short nap may be in order first.

I think the stopover in Singapore or Hong Kong (which I am disturbing myself by continually writing "Hong Kock") is 3-4 hours (though I'd stay for at least weekend in Hong Koc...Kong), and the flights leave Paris late in the evening (about 11:30pm?). They usually get here early in the morning, about 6 or 7 am.

...and, as mentioned, icecream (shh, but, not to provoke an argument...Massimo's = best...icecream...ever!).

That's definitely a possiblity. When friends visited from the States, their airfares were something like US$4-5K, whereas the same purchased here were as low as AUS$2K (which sometimes included 2 nights accomodation in Hollywood). Note that these were the same QANTAS flights, but you could not purchase them "in reverse" so to speak. I think international visitors subsidise international airfares for Australian customers...which I'm okay with.

and would again require me to find someone to take care of the damned cats.

The one reason I am not currently in Paris/Venice/Nepal/et cetera: two dogs. In my case, it's the amount of time I'd be away from them, and not actually trusting anyone to mind them.

Spent all day yesterday "cleaning" a PC to give to a friend of my mom's whose PC died. Had to strip off Linux, as well as clean out old accounts and uninstall potentially confusing and irrelevant software. ALL DAY. ALL &(*@#(^ DAY.

On the other hand, my mom did treat me to Thai food when I drove down to drop the computer off.
