I have helped people rather often with getting stuff off shelves. As Jon said, that might be me someday.

Rather interesting that only one political party would have all their signs still upright after a windstorm.

That's all I'm saying on the matter without going into P&R territory.

I was looking at some signs here while walking about and the difference in design is rather surprising. From the ones that have two legs (thin metal or wood) that stick into the ground and wobble if you look at them hard to the ones that have bracing and look as if they have a chance at surviving gale force winds.

Not really no. It seems to vary by riding and without regard for which party has the incumbent.

We no longer have signs and posters at elections. We're much too posh for plain English… we have 'Corflutes'. AFAIK they're not recycled English Horns (Cor Anglias).
