I predict the most rapid karma rise in MobileRead history. You're going to have so much karma, you'll come back as a cat in your own house. Maybe you already have?

Ah, heckfire, Taylor ... yer just joshin' ...

Although, you can ask anyone on Thuh Lisst ... I'm a lot of fun at partees.

And, you know (??) over the past 15 years, those of us on Thuh Lisst have actually gotten together for real life parties. We've had members fly in from Singapore, England ... from all over. Generally, if someone comes to the States from that far away, then the rest of us meet in whatever city the most distant traveller is staying in.

Man .... we are a motley crew. We've got men who are hard core bikers (complete with an Electra Glide in Blue), and die hard Christian Repulicans, and liberal lesbians ... we are all over the social map. I doubt any of us would ever have become such great friends, but we love our cats, and now we'd pretty much do anything for each other.

Go figure.

If I was a god (and I am*) I would transfer all of my karma to you, if only to come back as a "lesser" feline in my next ride-round-the-wheel.

I just love Ganesh. I used to have a little statue of him from back in my bumming around the world days.

At some point I will have to tell you all about:

"My Night in the Barcelona Brothel" and "The Great Plague Vacation" or possibly "The Night of the Trash Truck Races (that was in Spain too ... near Pamplona).

Oh, to be 17 again and on my own wandering through Rome or sleeping in Hyde Park.

What a gas!!

We have a little brass statue in the atrium that is meant to be Ganesh but is so stylised (by way of seeming being made up of shell-like shapes) that the essentials of Ganesh are lost. So, I call him "Gary" and assume he was the disreputable sibling of Ganesh that didn't make much of himself and ran with the Cthulhu crowd (thus the seashell transform).

I'll buy it! (ebook form for preference ).

Ahem.

Marc. I do have standards. Dogs are ated solely as a form of punishment (yes, I know the definition of sad-masochism. Why do you ask?), not a food staple.

Personally, I stick with chimp or higher.

As for Gary. Sheesh, what a poseur. Really, the boy just tried to hard. Kept forgetting that 'cool' is a Zen thing, and that one must be rather than attempt. Oh well. All ways wondered what happened to him. Garden god, eh? Things can go badly for folks, you know?

I'm guessing the parameters are slightly more exacting, not to mention with more "divide by zero" delimiters, than ISO can provide.

Gary, now also the God of UnCool, and the God of neZ.

Humbly understood. Can I get you another drink? The usual?

Cheers,
Marc (should our gods be anthropomorphised?)

PS. Lest it not be implicit, welcome back Cthulhu. 'Tis nice to see your lovely face embracing the end of a long, curly straw out of a long glass of Long Island Iced Ennui (with little pointy umbrella sticking out the side). It makes one glad (in a gibbering kind of way) to be alive.

Cheers,
Marc
