If I don't recognize the number, I let it go to voicemail. Though I will admit that most of the voicemails are simply due to stupid automation that does not recognize that they are being redirected and just continue playing their recording. I will admit to finding a bit of amusement in the voicemail messages in Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese, most of which according to one friend of mine are a mix of vaguely threatening demands for money, threats about immigration status and undecipherable requests along the lines of claims that they have recorded me viewing porn, etc.

Amusing, except for the thought that they wouldn't keep doing it if someone wasn't falling for it. I don't want to blame the victim, but, geesh, who is giving these people money??

I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s one of my pet peeves. Another is footballers thumping their chests over their hearts, and doing a knee slide when they score a goal.

Hmmm... if you think footballers are bad, you should check out the team celebrations in North American football though those can now get a penalty if in the officials or league's opinion they are "violent, destructive, sexual, or prolonged".

Knee slides are passe, name a male footballer who can do a joined up cartwheel, forward somersault and back flip Sam Kerr style… best they can do is a swallow dive when someone looks at them sideways.

"Footie" finals fever weekend here - Aussie Rules on Saturday, Rugby League on Sunday (women in afternoon @ 37°C, men at night @ 25°C) - Labour Day on Monday.

Hmmm... several CFL players? From years back, Henry 'Gizmo' Williams as an example.

Though we may be differing on what game is football. To me, it's a game played with a descendant of a rugby ball while to you it may be the game played by barbarians urinating on the beautiful game’s mummified corpse.

My sister and I arrived at our vacation cabin on Monday, it's on a vacation park. Even though we're fairly close to the central amenities (supermarket, restaurant, pool, etc) it's been really quiet.

We knew it would be busier during the weekend. But this morning, before 10am there were people setting off fireworks. Not the banging kind, but the whistling ones. Still annoying and why would you do that in the middle of the woods?!

Just now (10.30pm) more fireworks were set off, the banging kind and a bit further away. Can't wait for the masses to leave on Monday morning so we have another mid weeks of quiet.

Annoyed at the false misleading articles on goodereader.com. They have an article "Amazon giving away millions of ebooks for free" then you go into the article and its it's an advertisement for kindle unlimited free trial. And they sensor the responses so my posts never show up.

Why give them the clicks? Even more to the point, the space in your mind. You've known for a long time that to say they're duplicitous is putting it mildly and yet you're obsessed with them. And keep posting about them here, too, which just gives them even more exposure. Walk away.

Labeling things glutton free. If they have to label something as gluten free, I have to wonder what else they might be putting in it. Gluten free bacon, summer sausage?

fwiw, processed meats frequently use gluten in fillers or binders.

Even better is that a lot of 'gluten-free' stuff actually still has traces of gluten, making it unsafe for celiacs.
