Another possibility is something like I did in Calibre2Web where under the Author I had links to the series that author took part in? I did that in preference to listing directly the books in the series (althought here was also an "All Books" option in case you wanted the books by title irrespective of series). I found that this approach worked particularily well for series which involved multiple authors as then you could easily decide if you wanted to read the next in the series or the next by this author. Only books that were not in a series were listed directly under the author.

I am not sure that there is a complete right/best answer here.

Calibre2opds is effectivey superseding Calibre2web as it is cross-platform (rather than Windows soecific) and is now functionally richer. However the handling of series within an author is one area where slightly different approaches are taken.

Dave,

I'd like to better understand the approach you chose ; would you please be kind enough to explain it to me in more details ? (preferably by email...)

Thanks, and all best !
David.

Great Calibre catalogue on Stanza!

David,

I've just installed Calibre2opds and uploaded the whole Calibre directory (including the Calibre2opds catalog) to my website.
Then adding a new Shared Book source (xml version) from this URL in the Stanza iPhone App and "whow" there it is, a splended Calibre catalog with all my eBooks!

Great work

Did you not get my email saying that I had fixed Calibre2Web for your Polish characters? It was a generic issue if Unicode characters were found in any XML data. I tried to email you a copy but gmail would not accept a .vbs file (even inside a ZIP). The fixed version can be downloaded from the first post in the Calibre2Web thread in this forum.

OT: Just password-protect the file (preferably applying that to filenames as well, not sure how to do in in WinZIP and such, but there is an option for that in WinRAR) and you'll be fine. Same applies to attaching .exe files when dealing with GMail.

Hi I have just upgraded Aldiko and added custom catalogs created with Calibre2Web and Calibre2Opds. Both of them looks ok.
But my question is I cannot see covers. Is this a bug in Aldiko or this is how it is supposed to be.

BTW Aldiko again forgot about series information.
