I'm in the state of Sonora. the two closest towns of any size are Obregon and Navajoa. I'm actually in a little village called Alamos. it's a fairly high class area. lots of the really wealthy Mexcians have vacation homes here and there are a few Hollywood types as well. pretty secure here, it's just the traveling that can be an issue

Which apps? Normally, having Python installed should handle it. The defacto standard PC version of Python is ActiveState's:

ActiveState sells supported commercial versions, but Python is open source, and the free community edition should be all that you need.

As I understand it, that particular "it" isn't the problem. The big moneymaker now is pseudoephedrine for speed. The mota is secondary income, getting too impractical to move because it takes up too much space for the revenue it brings in; many times, they'll pay migrants who travel back and forth legally for work to grow it on our side of the border. As it happens, the company I currently work for has an important facility in Matamoros; we wisely unloaded the facility we had in Juarez a few years ago.

I might be, but with reservations.

As I understand it, the Windows Mobile reader version was unsupported beta code. (Since the reps you talked to weren't aware it existed, that seems quite likely.)

If I run stuff like that, I expect problems, and assume issues that might arise are on me. If it's production code, I'll file bug reports and raise a general stink.

I'm glad you got your problems sorted to some extent, but I'm not surprised you had problems, and you shouldn't be either. You were largely sailing in uncharted waters.
