No help there. That's the old B&N Reader, and if you open it, it will automatically force you to download the nonworking new version, or it will not operate itself.

I'm swearing off books from B&N, right now.

bloody hell! there was a massacre in the state of matamoros today. 72 people from central america were slaughtered. one person got away and notified the army. the pictures look like downtown baghdad 5 years ago.

fortunately this is the other side of the country, but this is one nervous kitten

No worries!
Whoever did it is probably half way to the U.S. border by now.

I feel sick.

Screw this, KK.
Go home.
Please?

CNN says they were migrants; you're going in the wrong direction. Still, watch your ass; they're taking out cops, politicians, you name it.

Where in MX are you going again, if you don't mind my asking and you haven't already answered?

They are backed up... on my PC.

But I don't READ on my PC... I read on my phone. And now I can't. (Unless someone can help me run a few python apps on my PC...)

I'm emailing the link to B&N, to prove it is their app and not from some hacker in Indonesia... maybe they'll own up to the problem with that.

Good! Good as in that is no where near you! I heard that this morning and didn't know if it was anywhere near you.

Be safe and, yes, watch your butt.

When my replacement K2 arrived Tuesday, I was pleasantly surprised to find that by restoring the library from my computer backup, all my current bookmarks remained intact. Every book opened right to where I had left off, which would not have been the case otherwise. Had I depended solely on my Amazon backup, the Amazon books would have opened to where they were when I last performed a sync and check for new items, and my place in all the non-Amazon books (which Amazon keeps no track of) would have been lost.

But in my defense, it had been a long day, and I was tired.

And a massive prison breakout there three days ago. The two appear to be related to drug cartel activity. Not good.

There are two kinds of people...

People who back up their data, and people that have yet to experience data loss.
