Yes, I am using the Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel Pen and loving it. I found out by accident with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pen. Any Stylus that is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will work with the Sony Digital Paper.

Is it easy. Does it overwrite Sony OS or has that capability too. Is it a method of unlock or reinstall firmware. Instructions iwll be very helpful indeed..

Though sony reader does not need to be opened up, it still utilize both specific hardware and software to unlock , according to the hacker it is impossible to do it remotely. the unlocking does not overwrite the sony OS, as the OS itself is Android 2.2.1 , the unlocking just allow it to install and use other android apps.

so far he's the only one who can and provide unlocking around china, as far as I know.

Hi,

How does Sony DPTS1 handle books which are scanned by spreads (i.e. two pages are visible at the same time in one scan)? Are these kind of scanned PDFs easy to read and scroll with Sony's device?

If the PDF has them aligned side-by-side on landscape pages, you can simply put the DPT-S1 into landscape mode and read them like that.

Oh, it's that simple (stupid me!). I've ordered the DPT-S1 but I haven't received it yet. Seems to be a nice ereader for PDFs. Thanks a lot for help!

I'd like to know if there is a possibility to use foreign language for on screen keyboards.
I am specially interested in Hebrew, Russian, and Polish.

Usage scenario: Loading for instance Hebrew pdf and searching with in it for the specific word using on-screen hebrew keyboard,
Also using foreign keyboards for Web browsing would be useful.

Just got my Digital Paper for Xmas and am really enjoying how much I can read on the go now.

Quick question for everyone though: has your device ever seemed twitchy?

There are times when mine will open a document; or turn a page; or return to the menu etc. without me having touched the screen at all.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Ps: my two cents in case Sony are reading... I read a lot of annual reports and it would be ideal to have buttons similar to the page turn buttons so as to flip between bookmarks.

got mune today but i cant even get it to read a pdf. Did you guys just copy the file to the sd card or internal memory. it reads the folders but not the pdf files

sony recently put out a survey on DPT-S1: survey; it might be a good idea to fill in and ask for the features you care about (root anyone?)

mine is twitchy sometimes, too. I think it has to to with the infrared based touchscreen which could act strange when something interferes the beams.

What kind of pdf files did you copy to your reader? I just copy the pdf files via windows explorer to my DPT-S1 and it works. If I can not open a pdf I can not open it on the pc, too.
Do you use files from a Mac and maybe you copied thoses hidden files which look like _name.xxx?

might be your sleeves. i think the screen is very sensitive to fabric.

I did not see any questions about "search". I would like to know how quick is searching a word/name etc in a pdf? I have read a review on another website where the user looked up a name in his biochemistry book and the search took over 30 minutes. Please let me know how you get around this problem.

Really appreciate your help!

(I want to buy this, but searching is very important to me)
