is there a copy of the Online Etymology Dictionary (etymonline) that exists in a kobo-compatible format? i feel like i’m losing my mind — i could swear i’ve seen posts about this in the past, but i just haven’t been able to find anything using google, kagi, or even this site’s search feature.

i know that various other dictionaries exist with etymologies — the older, 2019 version of OED (which i have installed), the ones from reader-dict.com (which are based on wiktionary) — but etymonline is just so good and detailed.

Speaking of this, I have tried to convert several Serbian->english dictionaries I have found (some goldendict format, others babylon) to use with the kobo with the use of pyglossary to no avail. The only dictionaries that I can get to seem to work are one that I have bought from reader-dict, or ones that were verified from this thread. (Bulgarian -> eng one from here works great). Any tips or ideas to what I might be doing wrong on the converting end?

You have not provided a link to it. Finding this dictionary was a difficult challenge... I haven't checked, try.
