As there's no formal or even slightly coherent standard for CBZ metadata, no.
I just push 'em with a sane filename, which is good enough for the FM, and match 'em manually to the source ePub in my Calibre library, which makes it good enough for the Calibre metadata search. (I think? I have so few of 'em I don't really need to search for them ^^). (e.g., as far as the actual file is concerned, the process is usually Kobo/HumbleBundle; take whatever most appropriate source there is and "sanitize" it as necessary, explode it, run images through ImageMagick to generate perfectly screen-sized and dithered PNGs, bundle in an uncompressed CBZ). Ahh, that explains it then, I was confused looking at the '\\.' as a literal '\' and a match-any-char '.' which didn't look right!

I didn't get around to installing the December stable KoReader. Now that the January stable version is out, I'll get to installing it this week. Maybe tomorrow.

this regards my Aura One Limited: when I power off by pressing the power button (after exit from KoReader) the homescreen stays (which I don't like)
when I power off from the KoReader menu, I get the very nice black screen with a white band "powered off" - in the 2020.12 version it used to be the homescreen |

@serdar0020: Which homescreen? Nickel's?
(That should never have been the case, FWIW. A power-off from KOReader should always have been honoring your KOReader screensaver settings, with an extra "Powered off" message, by default in a white pane at the bottom. I *did* fix some various corner-cases related to screensaver settings, but that only makes sense if by "homescreen" you actually meant "whatever was on the screen at that time", which was the broken behavior). |

Nickel's home screen stays when I exit the KoReader and power off with the power button (so this bug has nothing to do with KoReader)
up to 2020.12 (but no longer): the last page of the koreader restart/exit menu remained when powered off |

@serdar0020: Oh, yeah, that makes sense, thanks
![]() You must have had one of those weird setting combinations there were broken when power states were tripped via the menu ![]() |

I installed NickelMenu and KOReader (v2020.10.1) on my Kobo Clara HD (w/ the latest 4.25.x firmware) in November using the PowerShell script method. How should I update the KOReader to v2021.01.01? Can I just use the update function within KOReader (see attached pic)? Or do I need to perform the PowerShell method again? Thanks.
