Kartu I send you the files, where it's implemented the localizations and date format (only the original Sony menus are traslated ) on my reader, changing the xlm files of the folders of the Sony, I suppose they can help you. When the reader is conected to usb the locatizations follow works ok.

I was wondering what added features you were planning on including as your next project, a while ago you had voting on features and didn't know if you are working on the dictionary feature at all.

Also, I was wondering what added feature you would like your 505, from your personal viewpoint. Could you let us know if you have any type of time line. I do check here every month or so , to see what you are up to!

There is no timeline, as it's very hard to predict not only how long some feature will take, but how much time I'll have for it. There is a "sort of plan" on the Features Requests page.

Dictionary is one of the top priorities, I plan to put the existing "grepping" solutions into the next release. It's all quite... opportunistic. When I see a possibility to implement a feature with little effort, I do it.

From my personal viewpoint, mm, I'll add Georgian language support. Which, basically, comes down to choosing nice font and copy&pasting ttf glyphs 3 times...

Thanks for the update, and I was thinking it should be stuff that is FUN for you to do and that you YOURSELF would find helpful.
If you could SHARE with us in first page where you currently are , updated on regular basis, you might get others that could assist you on a "feature".
For example, if you shared how you are gonna start work on "dictionary" feature , and you might like to gather others that could assist in that , who knows, it might aid in the process, two or more heads helping. Just like in manual stuff others have assisted in that aspect of project.
So, when you decide, think about the feature you think would be nice to move towards and SOUND the note and put it out if anyone else is interested and has knowledge in programming in this field to help.
Just a thought to think about, if you haven't already.
Keep up the good work, you made my experience with the 505 much more pleasant and I know pleasant for tons of us! Thanks

The first page of the project contains brief "working on" sentence.
Feature Requests page contains list of items, one could pick up and implement.
kravitz, for example, has done ""continue reading" for last read N books" feature.

Hi, I would like to give a big thanks for this wonderful program that I would like to install on my 505.

I'm a little confused about how to install it. I have firmware version 1.1.01.25200. Does this make a difference? I keep seeing reference to version 1.1.00.1840 and that's what's in the folder.

Do I just shove a blank SD card into my computer (Win 7 32 bit). Unzip PRS+installer.Zip and copy the folder PRSPInstaller to the SD card. Remove the SD card put it in my reader and take my reader out of "Standby" and everything installs?

I'm really sorry for having to ask such basic questions but my daughter also wants me to install this on hers. If I screw hers up I will never hear the end of it.

Yes, except it won't install automatically, you'll see an installer that will guide you through the process.

Don't forget to remove card/installer from the card after it reboots, if you don't want to see the PRS+ installer again.

No worries, 505/500/300 models are rock solid. You can't brick them into unbrickable state, unless if you don't use hammer/crack it up and solder a bit, etc...

You'll have to unbrick it and try again. Here are the instructions (before trying it, try to simply reset once, it could be that flashing process didn't even start):

I noticed after charging instead of seeing the black bars showing the battery level I now have a circle with the letter S in it.

Weird. So battery was low when installing?

I'd suggest Flashing to 1.1.00.18040 with (slightly modified to ignore firmware version) sony flasher:

Then installing PRS+ again.

No, as with normal Sony Updaters, you connect your reader to a PC and start the program.
