Not a stupid question at all. It has been asked before and Kartu said no. But, you could use the EPUB User Style feature to create multiple css files with different font sizes. Then the fonts would be exactly the size you want.

Hi! I just decided to try PRS+. It seemed simple enough, but I've managed to flub it up somehow.

I extracted the PRSP+1.0.2_Installer onto a formatted SD card. Plugged it into my PRS-505 and turned it on. It asked me to select a language, I picked English. Clicked through and it started installing and everything was checking out - OK. OK. OK. OK. down the line. Then it restarted. It locked up on the "Starting up..." screen. I waited about 10 minutes.. nothing.

I have tried resetting it - I paperclip the reset button on the back, and then flip the power switch. The screen goes blank for just a few seconds, in which time I quickly plug in the USB cable, but still it goes to the starting up screen and stays there.

While plugged in, the light flashes amber, and 3 removable devices appear under My Computer. but it is unable to access any of them. It says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk E" (and F and G). Neither the Sony Reader software, nor Calibre can see the reader either.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Seems that your reader is bricked. Have you use "bigit"'s custom firmware before? Did you have many files in internal memory?

To unbrick it, you'll have to do 10 timely resets in a row, i.e. do it right after you see the startup screen 10+ times. After it, reader will fall into firmware update mode. Then just use standard Sony's flasher (or use this one http://projects.mobileread.com/reade...%20Special.exe it doesn't matter). This will get you standard 1.1.00.18040 US version.

After that, you could try PRS+ installer again.

It didn't work with LRF viewer (scale values outside range are ignored). I didn't test it with EPUB viewer, but probably it will be as with LRF viewer (ebook code actually determines possible scale values by setting max-int min-int values and checking, what the actual scale is. This code is the same for both EPUB/LRF)

In TXT viewer it is possible to explicitly set both font (including externally loaded ones) and it's size / style. This could have side effects though which I didn't investigate.

As dwanthny pointed out, with EPUBs you can define your own css styles and switch between them. (not very convenient, as you have to open new book for new style to have effect, but still a way)

Hi, thanks for your fast reply. That did the trick. And I did try the PRS+ installer again and it's working now. It looks terrific. I'm looking forward to playing with it. Thanks!!

As for what caused the brick, I couldn't say. I only had 19 books on there (172 mb free) and have never attempted any customizations before this one. I did buy it used, but I had restored it to default settings and had updated with the sony flasher, so I don't think that's it. At any rate, it's working now! Thanks very much.

could Kartu add this functions of pageindex in the localizations? These functions are incorporated the number and percent pages left book reading.

Kartu i think same that Surquizu, because in my reader appears T U V (8) an W X Y Z (9), but doesn't repeat the letter W twice.

I have uploaded the Surquizu's translations file other time because it has a little errors and a few words without translate.

I have a question for you Kartu, in my reader with the main.xlm modified (I sent it you time ago, this script takes a count the region of the reader to change the date format and hour), the hour is changed automacally the last week end on march (increase an hour) and the last week end on october (decrease an hour), This is normally in Spain and other countries in Europe. Now With your modifications the hour and date format will change automacally?

But I didn't touch automatic daylight saving adjustments.

attached is the German translation. I didn't know how to translate some strings (SS_TURN, AS_TURN, SL_TURN) and unfortunately wasn't able to look it up in the reader, since it is in repair with a display defect The rest of the Strings should be fine though.
