I didn't add it to avoid confusion. Don't remember whether book/menu views override "hold center" button though. If they do, it would work only in places like "about" etc. Anyway, doesn't it work, when you bind it to menu "hold center"? |

In PRSCustomizer, I did submit the change for hold enter and it does work in menus as well as wen reading. So no reason it cannot be global. I think hold enter is not actually used anyplace.

Holding joypad center does the same as simply pressing joypad center in all views, as I recall. The way it was done in PRSCustomizer is hard to use in key bindings, since it overrides it for all views and is done in XML.

Yes, it was done in the XML. But I've been using it for a long time and I've not found an issue with it being global.

However if you can have it work fine via the key binding section for menus and for reading then creating a global setting that changes both at once should be possible as an option. Of course being implemented globally is just prettying it up since we already have that functionality via the other two bindings. I have set both via key bindings and it works great. |

This folder does not seem to be included in either of the zip files on the download page of the PRS+ site. What is it and where do I get it? |

![]() If it doesn't look like this you did something wrong. Go here and grab the PRSPlus_Firmware_Installer_1.0RC.zip. This version already has the new_opt.img so you can skip step 4. Copy new_opt.img from release archive (get the latest version from here you need the file called "...Firmware...") to SD card root of the installation guide and go to step 5. Don't forget to follow the guide and place the contents of the PRSPlus_Script_1.0RC.zip file in the correct place too. Good Luck & Last edited by DoctorOhh; 01-16-2010 at 08:54 AM. |

When I extract PRSPlus_Firmware_Installer_1.0RC.zip it doesn't have all of the files shown in the screenshot. I don't understand where I am supposed to get the folder called files.505.1.1.00.18040
This is what I get: |

That's weird, I've redownloaded the http://prs-plus.googlecode.com/files...ller_1.0RC.zip file, and it does indeed contain files.505... folder. Maybe your archive manager is "too smart" and just hides the folder from you, because it contains only empty folders?? |

Having solved my original problems during installation, I am finding this hack very useful.
I am however puzzled by one thing. On my SD card is the audio folder within which I have created a named sub folder. This sub folder has an audio book split into 60 parts (mp3) and named 01 - 60. When I look at the reader audio & pictures/audio sub menu it shows all 60 parts correctly named which is not what I want. When I go to Browse Folders / SD Card / Sony Reader / Audio / Folder it has no files showing within that folder. If I browse with my PC to the same folder all the files are shown. SD/MS card scan is enabled. This problem also applies to any audio file placed within Audio / Sub Folder / File name.mp3 on the internal memory. In short I cannot get the browser folders option to work with audio files, I still get the reader showing a long list of mp3 files which is not what I was hoping for. Any ideas ? Regards |

Browse Folders currently suports only books. Support for pictures&songs is already listed as a feature request, however. Last edited by kartu; 01-16-2010 at 03:29 PM. |

kartu!
Thanks for the great firmware. I miss 2 features that I had with the last years prs firmware, the ability to turn OFF the reader if I held the right joypads CENTER button for 5 seconds. And the other feature I liked was making the right joypad's left and right pads page forward and page backward, that way I could use either hand to read and I had 3 ways to move the pages forward and backward. They were options on last years hacks that I miss, maybe it is on the NEW version under key bindings, if it is , GREAT , if not, maybe reconsider "including that feature from old prs- program from last year. |

Features you miss are already implemented as "key bindings". Mike_73 has written a guide on how to use them. You can find it here http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/wiki/UserManual |
