Copy the folder Beta to the root of your SD-Card and restart / connect-unconnect form USB.

Kartu, same options in menu customizer don't appear translated? Apart from the skin for the dictionary cover the clock and bateria icon.

Is there a way to sort the different items in PRS + menu alfhabetical mode.

does the versión prs 2.0.12 support pictures in browse folders? because, only i can see and open the books.

Thank you jackie_w. I followed your instructions to install PRS+ on my Sony 650 and everything worked flawlessly. I am taking the liberty of adding instructions on how to download and install PRS+2.0.10alpha prior to installing 2.0.12beta Installer zip.

For anyone else who, like me, was getting very confused about the PRS+ upgrade vs. the Sony upgrade, here are step-by-step instructions for a PRS650 upgrade :

- from: PRS+2.0.10alpha, with Sony v1-0-00-08100
- to: PRS+2.0.12beta, still with Sony v1-0-00-08100

without worrying about what to do about the Sony v1-0-00-14080 upgrade which seems to have caused problems for some people.

The following instructions worked for me, but I don't claim them as the 'One True Way'. I'm happy to be enlightened otherwise
I would think the PRS350 would work the same.

Step-by-step instructions

Spoiler:

1. Download PRS+2.0.10alpha from the 'downloads' section of
   http://page2rss.com/c/0438c9e7d647f7...-not-supported
   
2. Connect your 650 to your computer (make sure your battery has a charge of over 75%).
   
3. Launch PRSP_650_2.0.10alpha_setup.exe and confirm that you want the program installed on your Sony. Super easy, only takes a minute or two to install the program. Your 650 is now updated with PRS+ 2.0.10alpha.
   
4. Download the appropriate 2.0.12beta Installer zip (not the setup.exe) to your PC.
   
5. Unzip and copy the whole PRSPInstaller directory to the root directory of device internal memory.
   
6. Precautionary step - don't know if this is necessary but I did it anyway.
   If you have manually installed the customised LRF/RTF/TXT font option, disable it temporarily:
   - Rename directory /test-startup to something else
   - Rename file /database/system/PRSPlus/prsp.sh to something else.
7. Disconnect from PC. Then do a full device shutdown, then restart it. The upgrade to 2.0.12beta will be installed automatically. You can check by looking in Settings - About to check version numbers:
   - PRS+ should show as 2.0.12beta (top of page 1)
   - Sony device info should still show as 1.0.00.08100 (bottom page 1)
8. Reconnect to PC and, if they still exist, manually delete the following from root of device internal memory:
   - directory /PRSPInstaller
   - file /runonce.sh
9. If you performed the precautionary step 6, re-enable the option now by reversing the renaming. Then do another full device shutdown and restart.

Kartu, i've tested to take a screenshoot but the pictures only is shown when the reader is restarted or conected usb to pc? while it sn't made this the pictures don't appear in pictures o multimedia-pictures.

Kartu, always when i start the reader appear 1 of 1 on statusbar, and i select only is shown with more pages, apart from the language selected is spanish.

The options in browse folder scan sd, mount sd or scan sd without cache work only when the reader is conected usb or restarted.

Mark, do you know why the option smartZoom in dictionary doesn't work?

I remember there is a fix (at least for x50 type of readers) havn't checked it with the 505 now

I tried this too with my PRS-505, and while there is code to make the new image available in Core.media and addons.screenshot, the file will not show up until a restart.

While cross-checking with the 650 I didn't see the screenshot in the Apps-first row. There is no thumbnail and the number of pictures dosn't reflect the new one.(This is easy to say, because I'm used to have only one (1) standby-picture)
BUT by tapping "show all" the screenshot is listed. (I've set up listview for images, if that does matter)[/EDIT2]

I have to confirm that. I've set 1/1 type, but on first startup 1of1 is shown, will change after the fist page-flipp.

This is a already communicated bug/feature. Don't know if the restart message comes up, like on change-language.

No, havn't installed dictionary, but will try to take a look

I had PRSP_650_2.0.12beta installed and running fine. Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I powered my reader all the way down. When I brought it back up, PRS+ was gone. Why? Isn't it supposed to survive a reboot?

Edit:
On reinstalling I noticed the caveat that PRS+ is disabled when starting with USB connected. I think that's what happened. I had powered the device down last night and put it on the AC charger. I started it up while still plugged in. So, I guess that was it. I rarely power it down so this is the first time I ran into this situation.

I just tried a full reboot on my PRS650 with v2.0.12beta. It seems to have survived OK for me.

Okay, now that I'm trying to reinstall, it appears I had 2.0.11 before.

I'm surprised because now when I try to reinstall, it says I have unsupported firmware. I will be updating my firmware but I don't see anything on the project site that states it is only for the newer firmware.

There is no need to update the Sony-FW
Just use the PRS+ *zip installer instead of the *.exe

PS: there seams to be a "glitch" with PRS+ and first shutdown after installation.
If PRS+ dosn't came up after shutdown (and not in "Safe-Mode" = started with USB-connected), just do another shutdown and restart.

So, to summarize:

1) Screenshot is still not immediately visible to the system. Will check the 1 of 1 thing.
2) Mark, thanks for finding the "update" issue. I'll have to investigate a bit more, maybe simply adding correct "update" to the "container node" would be a better solution that would also cover other cases (like periodicals)
3) PRS+ install file names are very confusing indeed. Renamed "uninstallers" for 600/505. Will probably rename the others in the next release. So there will be the following groups of files:
a) Uninstallers => all are exe so far
b) "All in one" exe packages for newer models
c) base package for 600
d) Unzip "all in one" package for 300 and 505 (I was thinking about turning this into an exe, but then, old style would still be needed for Linux guys)
e) Unzip "update, needs base" for 600, x50

That's five _groups_ of files, oh dear.
