Hi! 2 quick questions

1. I was trying to download stories from wuxiaworld.com and got a "list index out of range" for this URL

https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/coiling-dragon-preview

2. I was trying to download a different set of stories (with the same author/url) and wanted two different copies of the same book. as the content inside was different.

The "Check for changed story URLs" option was what I want as I wanted two copies of the book (with different site URLs as the content is different inside). However, I did not want the popup for every duplicate as that greatly slows down the metadata retrieval process.

is there a faster way to allow same book author / title but with different story URLs? In the end, I just edited the relevant code in fff_plugin.py (the if prefs['checkforurlchange'] portion) to skip the popup and always add a new book.

@Nutzer0815, are you sure you installed the test version correctly and restarted Calibre?

Because there is code in the test version to address that exact problem and it works fine for me.

If you are still seeing the error, please run Calibre in debug mode (under the Calibre Preferences drop down), try again, and post the debug log.

Error found. Calibre continues to run in the background for some reason when I exit. This installed the plugin, but was not effective without a real restart. But I only noticed it when the plugin was running properly in debug mode. Now it also runs in normal operation. Thanks alot.

If you have Calibre set to run in the system tray (Preferences > Look and Feel > Main interface tab), you need to right-click the tray icon and exit from there.

For the past week or two I haven't been able to create any anthologies using FFF plugin. I always get this error:

More out of curiosity than anything: Without using custom outputs, is the date a specific chapter was published stored anywhere in the ePub?

No.

A small handful of sites have chapter data collected, but it's not put anywhere unless configured in custom output.

Alternatively, if you use logpage and update when notified of new chapters, you can generally look at the log to tell when a chapter was added.

Would it be possible to add support for www.novelupdates.cc?

It is, as far as I can tell, exactly the same site as www.wuxiaworld.co, except that it doesn't have the text "Please go to https://www.novelupdates.cc/xxxx/ to read the latest chapters for free" at the end of every chapter.

Also, a simple way to redirect all books that use a www.wuxiaworld.co URL to a www.novelupdates.cc URL instead.

Trying to download any story from wuxiaworld.site using the most recent test version only results in "HTTP Error 503: Service Temporarily Unavailable" while I'm able to access the site (down to story pages and chapters) with 2 different browsers without issues at the same time.

I saw this problem at first, too.

It was the Cloudflare DDoS service injecting itself between me and the server. An hour or so later it worked fine for me. Decided I wasn't a DDoS, I guess.

There isn't really anything FFF can do about it.

But it's not a new site. It's exactly the same site that you are already supporting at www.wuxiaworld.co. The same adapter should work for both if it would accept both URLs.
