Not with anthologies. I don't remember why not off hand. Could just be implementation limitations. Quote:

So, I've got an issue appearing within the last four days. When I try to download certain stories, I get "Error: Not a Zip File." Story Link Here. I've checked past issues on this forum, and I can say for certain that my drive is not full - my laptop has about 5 gigabytes of space - and I've run memory diagnostics with no detected issues. When I try to open the already-downloaded epub, I get the same message. This is weird, because I managed to successfully download and read the story on the 12th, and I haven't updated or changed any settings since then.
And I just uploaded it to gdrive to share (link here) but gdrive is saying the file contains no data. Upon deleting and redownloading the story, it seems to work just fine. Will I have to manually do this for each one, or is there some sort of force-overwrite I can do to make FFF do so for me? Edit: Derp, forgot there IS an overwrite feature. I'll test that out and see where it takes me, then post the results. Last edited by DisturbedDragon; 08-16-2020 at 04:13 PM. Reason: Remembered the overwrite feature |

DisturbedDragon, back in June this year we had a problem with FFF reporting "Not a Zip File" but it only happened with email update and Smarten Punctuation and has since been fixed.
When exactly are you getting that error? While trying to download? FFF shouldn't be wrecking the existing epub if it has a problem. If you can reproduce the problem, please run Calibre in debug mode and post the debug log. |

The first I assume is because it was set to "update epub if new chapters" leading to it having to read the epub to compare. And upon further thought, I think I have some idea of what caused it, actually. At the time of updating the story my computer overheated, sleeping itself (I was quite worried at the time, but everything seemed to work, and I probably didn't notice since the failed update was at the bottom of the list of selected stories). When I hit a key the computer turned back on, complete with all my files. My theory is that the overheating and sleep happened as it was trying to construct the epub after downloading, leading to an epub with no data. I'm no computer wizard, so this is all blatantly ignorant conjecture. Also, I have searched my library and found no other stories with the same issue, thankfully. Upon deleting the story and redownloading, it worked perfectly. Thank you for your continued work on this plugin, it truly is amazing ![]() |

I would also run a check disk on your drive. Failing hard drives cause all sorts of weird issues.

@TnkSan -
I can't duplicate that problem--it's working fine for me with the latest posted test version downloading the first couple chapters. If you still see it, please run Calibre in debug mode (under Calibre Preferences dropdown) and try again, then post the debug log. |

I was trying to set anthologies as "Anthology" in the status column. I already have this in place for oneshots:
Code:
custom_columns_settings: oneshot=>#fanficstatus replace_metadata: ## Sets one-chapter fics to oneshot oneshot=>Completed=>Oneshot&&numChapters=>^1$ # 'add_to_' concats on to existing param, thus the leading comma add_to_extra_valid_entries:,oneshot,tagscategory, # oneshot is a copy of status because status itself isn't a list. include_in_oneshot:status I think I know how to adapt it, but I'm not sure exactly what to put in the replace_metadata part. Any suggestion? Thank you. Last edited by ownedbycats; 08-20-2020 at 04:48 PM. |

Hello, I am new when it comes to customizing Caliber and FFF, hopefully you can help me, I want to put a column where the number of chapters of a book appears (most of them downloaded with FFF), what should I do to have this? the number of chapters can be the number taken from fanfiction/AO3/etc or the number of titles in the index.

@Kminari - Create a custom column with type 'Integers', then in FFF's config, under the 'Custom Columns' tab, you can assume that column to be filled with Chapters.
Note that FFF only fills the column when you download or update a story. While you're at it, if you plan to add and/or fill more columns, I suggest adding a Long Text, Interpret as Text column and set it as the 'Saved FFF metadata' column on the bottom of FFF's 'Custom Columns' tab. Again, it will only be filled when you download or update each story; but once filled, you can use 'Update from Saved Metadata' to fill in new columns as you add new custom columns you want to fill from FFF. |

@JimmXinu I did that even before posting the query, but I didn't know it was the correct procedure. Thanks for the help.
Where is that option of 'Update from Saved Metadara'? |
