By the way, it seems that it's best to order from the original website because Amazon seems to have a backlog of 1 to 3 months to ship it, at least for me. In the product reviews one person said that ordering for incipio.com wouldn't have that problem.

Sorry I didn't meant to mislead you. I was answering to the thread itself and not to your request for a Kindle DX cover. I was just letting everyone know my choice.

Sorry if I got your hopes up because I really think that the one I chose is one hell of a good looking cover

BTW I will try to post some pics once I have it, if I get my hands on a good camera that is. It's taking long to ship don't know why.

Well Incipio must have read my "complaint" here on the forum because I just received an email saying that the cover shipped

And I just got out of the chat with them (an awesome feature BTW) and they told me that the nylon cover weights 5 ounces (~140g) and the synthetic leather version only weights more 0.something (they weren't specific how much above 5 onces the cover was) but it's still a few ounces lighter than the Kindle itself.

Wow, they look absolutely beautiful! I never knew you could get covers like that. I myself use only a lighted cover, or a case, but these look great!

Just got a CE Compass cover. Its ok. More padding than the mCover case. But I like the cover I got on ebay the best blue angel

Is there a good case that would be able to withstand a school bag? I bought my kindle over a month and a half ago. It broke when my brother sat on it and i had to pay half for a replacment, so I really need a strong case.

Hmmmm, depends.

I would say to go for any of those leather kind of ones (I wouldn't go for the sleeve kind of ones). Leather covers are pretty resistant to small impacts.
The thing is, due to the shape of the kindle, its not so resistant to twisting forces.
And I would be careful with my backpack if I know I'm carrying my kindle.
I didn't got my Kindle out of the house until I got myself a cover, because i was sure I would break it.

Unfortunately, heavy impacts are the sort of things it would have to stand up to. Most of my books are 2 year books and my bag is routinely heavier than my little brother.
I was thinking along the lines of those crazy tough ipad cases (like this), but kindle sized. Does anyone know of one?
