Until the day before yesterday I used my unlighted cover without any problem. Then Kindle started to froze. I didn't want to throw it away since I really satisfied with it. Then I started to think about a solution to this problem. And today I made a small operation on Kindle as described on the photo. I hope this solves the problem entirely.

Just before writing this thread I found an old thread which also suggests a solution which is a bit ambiguous. I think that my solution is more accurate If you decided to not use the lighted cover. (Of course you can change to its default with a little effort)

However it will take time to be sure that my little operation is really a solution.

everything has its price, Badger I had a cheap cover for my K ($15) and broke its screen while it was still in that cover. And I also found that using that cover was really uneasy, I always prefered the K bare.

Now I have this Oberon cover and never get the K out again The new cover is really sturdy, and practical. I suggest you reconsider Oberon cover

I;m also the type that reads the Kindle naked. I was thinking that one day when I win the lottery or inherit a fortune from an aunt whom I have never met I will buy this one from Thule. Looks bomb proof.
But yeah the Oberon is pretty . *sigh* Choices, choices.

(I must add, kindle in Oberon cover is pretty heavy. Like you're holding a hardback. But that's all, there's no other cons. And here come the pros:
- sturdy,
- beautiful,
- extra key charm and extra bungee cord, just in case,
- thick leather can be bended.)

I have a sleeve for my K3. It is pretty and I can read my Kindle naked. It is a win win.
