It looks like your MKK did not re-install
Try a re-boot (you should get a message on-screen from the bridge code) - or Try the 'hotfix' package Then: un-install kpvbooklet re-install kpvbooklet Check: for any change in behavior. PS: If using KOreader build from NiLuJe's snapshots, it was not built correctly until just a few minutes ago (check the post date - it may not be listed yet). |

That's the usual Kindlet JB race condition in the crashlog, not the cause of the problem.
Possibly a DB schema change? I'd say open a ticket on GH. |

I already tried to reboot and reinstall, but the result was the same. The only thing I don't understand, why epubs work and why pdfs don't? If I start KOreader through KUAL everything is working fine. Now I'll try the hotfix, maybe that will work. |

Okay, I tried the hotfix followed by an uninstall and reinstall. The problem still persists. I'll report it on GH then.

@Rickkins: Which exact version?
There should be a language setting *somewhere*, though ![]() Try a fresh install if that's not too much bother? |

@Rickkins
1) As for language: EITHER a) while in a book, tap the top part of the screen, go to the thrid tab, and tap the second from the bottom option. That is language selection. Find yours OR b) while in file manager, tap the top part of the screen, go to the first tab, and tap the second from the bottom option. That is language selection. Find yours 2) As for update, download the latest nightly build for kindle from here, and then just extract both folders /koreader and /extensions to your Kindle's main folder when you connect it to PC. It should ask you to overwrite files, hit yes with confidence. Unplug Kindle from PC and start KOReader. Yes, it is that easy! |

Ok, new question.
Is there a way of saving settings from one book to the next...?? Yanno, things like text size, line spacing, landscape etc....??? Thanks. |

@Rickkins: On current versions, per-book settings are stored automatically (in the same sidecar folder as the native system).
In addition to the automated tarball update, there's also a couple of KUAL buttons to handle updates. But, yeah, it's basically "unpack and overwrite", so, not rocket science ![]() |
