I prefer Sue'm and Shyster for my general law work, but for eldrich horror specialties I use Brigadier General (retired) Theodore Marley Brooks. I believe some of your minions have had dealing with him and some of his associates...

Then again there was Shyster, Shyster and Flywheel. They are not quite as hammy as TM Brooks.

There is an estate agent in Newport (South Wales) called 'Crook and Blight'. http://www.crookandblight.com/ Unusual honesty, perhaps. |

We have a local Chiropractor named Dr. Bonebreak. We also have someone listed in our phonebook, a Mr. Hugh Jazz, who regretfully received many phone calls from my boys, unaware of Caller ID.

My father knew two dentists in the RAAF who were respectively named Dr. Killer and Dr. Death. Of course, they pronounced said respective names "kil-LER" and "deeth". My brother knew twins in his classes at TAFE who were Peter Nuss and Andrew Nuss. Unfortunate lack of foresight by the parents, I reckon. Cheers, M.Lawrence |

Yeah, I wouldn't mess with "Ham" Brooks. If he doesn't stick you with that sword cane of his, or his ape-looking buddy doesn't dismember you, his boss will send you upstate for a not-even-close-to-legal lobotomy (between his periods of participation in the annual George Hamilton tanning open)...

I love all of those! Are you making these up? The closest I can come (not nearly as good) is a Dr. Septima who was the Director for Infection Control at my wife's hospital and was called Dr. Septicemia.

VR, if you keep implying that I'm making things up, I will have to introduce you to my little brother:

There's no front like a porn front, I always say. (Actually, I say that, often substituting whatever word is handy for "front". Especially good when the word is "school," "fool," "field," or "research assistant"...)

my ex-boyfriend had a teacher in high school named "Monsieur Toulemonde". for the non french-speaking among us, "toulemonde" is pronounced like "tout le monde", which means "everybody". "M. Toulemonde" is commonly used as a metaphor for the average person. "sure, these crazy new liseuses are popular with the geeks, but will they ever catch on with M. Toulemonde ?" |

It's good to see that the squirrel gang are gone, but it looks like you need a rest. Although I'm wishing you a happy day, I'm sure it will be a burden to you nonetheless. Where's the towel? One does what one can do to cheer up a depressed robot. Last edited by DixieGal; 06-26-2008 at 02:14 PM. |
