Just a plug for "Secrets of a Buccaneer Scholar." It's really good! It might be because I relate to the author, but it's a pretty fantastic read (especially for free!)

Just finished "Derik's Bane" by MaryJanice Davidson. Now reading "Fire in the Mist" by Holly Lisle (free at Baen), really hooked, I have all the difficulties to "close" it to go to sleep !

Just finished Valley of Fear int eh Sherlock Holmes omnibus (thanks, Harry!) I am relieved to be done with the novels. The short stories were my real interest (I remember reading some of them as a child with my father and am not sure which ones I read or which ones I missed) but I felt like I had to go in order and read the novels first. Valley of Fear was the best after 'A Study in Scarlet.' I enjoyed it a lot.

Next up: some Pratchett. Maybe Hogfather.

OMW is pretty good so far. That article you are reading sounds like a real page turner.

Taking another break from Perdido Street Station to read an old Regency, "Parson's Pleasure" from www.regencyreads.com (no DRM!).

I may have to throw in the towel on PSS, or start skipping huge chunks of it.

Next up is SPIN. Old Man's War is also on my reading list for this term.

No clue when I'll have time to write my thesis with all this reading going on.

Currently reading Nothing to loose the 12th book in the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

Am thoroughly enjoying it, a real page turner as were the previous 11.
