I am trying to make file that has non-englisg characters in metadata. So specifying it on command line does not do any good. I tried to make batch file and use "--title=utf8 encoded text" ans a parameter but it does not do any good. Is there way to provide file with metadata or to specify metadata in the html file? I still can edit tagsfrom gui, but I really want to use command line. |

html2lrf will also read metadata from opf files that are in the same directory as the file you are trying to convert

Just use convertlit on a lit file or refer to http://www.idpf.org/oebps/oebps1.2/d...eb12-xhtml.htm or wait for the next release of libprs500 which will generate opf metadata files when saving books to disk from the GUI |

The link is very helpful, thank you very much. There is one more thing: how do I specify non-latin characters in --chapter-regex? I can do it from GUI, is there way to do it in commandline? some trick like --chapter-regex=@filename |

Is "chapter detection" feature just inserts pagebreaks before chapters or it is also supposed to create TOC? I am asking because even when html2lef detects chapters (seen in --verbose output) they still do not show up in reader's "Table of contents" menu. |

No it only inserts page breaks. TOC is based on links or the toc element in the OPF file.

Hello, I've just discovered your converter. It is a really nicely engineered system. Thank you so much for sharing it. One question. Is it still not possible to do left aligned text in LRF format? Ebooks' biggest selling point for me is the ability to read at larger font sizes. I find the amount of randomly sized whitespace with large fonts and full justification very distracting. I have the same problem with books purchased through the Connect store. Even worse, the Connect store books don't have a large enough font in the first place and waste a lot of space on margins. So....I've been using RTF formated text on my 505 with left justification and a size 20 sans serif font. (poor eyesight) I usually read on medium or large reader setting. RTF seems to properly left align leaving a ragged right margin. I do miss have benefits of images and links that the LRF format provides. Thanks for listening! | |

I'm afraid that it's still not possible to do left justification in the reader.

Actually it is. Add the following to kconfig.xml, in the environment block: Code: <variable name="bbebJustification" value="false"/> |

				CHM conversion..

Have you tried using this to convert decompiled CHM (windows help) files? I've given it a shot, but have had terrible luck with it. Ideally it should work, since the decompiled chm is just a TOC and a grip of html files. Got any tips?

I had a really long time to update and now I did so when trying to launch the program I'm having a "Another program is using the database. Perhaps libprs500 is already running." message. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but no result.
