Sorry, I must have overlooked that when reading the rules.
I edited the posting, so that the pix are now thumbnails which are linking to the bigger pictures. |

I ordered a Noreve cover for my Aura One. It fits well, but the magnets don't catch to hold it closed. I used another magnet and a piece of ferrous metal, to analyze the cover and reader, locate any magnets or metal in there. Under the leather, the cover has a metal border around the edges of the reader. Meanwhile in the front cover there is one smallish magnet, halfway up and about a cm in from the outside edge. When you close the cover, this magnet is not close enough to the metal edge to catch it and hold it closed.
In the reader itself there is something placed where the magnet in the cover might stick to it. But it doesn't, it's not strong enough. Noreve offered a choice between covers with a tab clasp, and plain ones. I got the plain one but if I knew then what I know now I'd get the latching one. Because when I stop reading and fold this one closed, and set the reader down on the table, the cover springs slightly open. It slowly relaxes over the next few hours, until it closes all the way. Maybe over time it will soften and stay closed more quickly. If the reader's sleep function is triggered by magnets, I can't figure out how. I have the sleep function turned on in the system settings, but there is no spot on the reader where a magnet will trigger it. Perhaps it requires multiple magnets? In any case, the Noreve cover certainly doesn't trigger it. This cover is nicer than a cheap plastic cover, and it does fit perfectly. And the stitching and edges are nicely finished. But it doesn't close very well and the leather feels like a thin layer over some kind of padding, like it won't wear well. For the price Noreve gets, it ought to be better than it is. It's too much of a nuisance to deal with Noreve's return processes and ship it back to France, and I need a cover, so I'll keep it. But I will be keeping an eye out for my next cover. |

The Noreve cover not working with regard to staying closed and getting the reader to sleep is a known problem (and I was one of the first to experience it, and have sent the cover back).
The KA1 has a sleep magnet located about 2cm up and left of the lower right corner of the screen, if I remember correctly. (So not the lower right corner of the device itself.) |

I'm still very happy with my Noreve, but I never wanted to use the sleep cover functionality (as any magnet from any other cover will also trigger it, I found out, so my reader was constantly turned on if I placed the reader on top of my Android tablet...). It stays shut perfectly in my bag and it still looks awesome ![]() |

I bought this one from Amazon (in black although that seems to have disappeared) and it works well. Stays closed and the wake/sleep function appears to do what it should.

Im looking for a cover to make it more substantial and grippy, preferably enlargening the right side trim where I can place my thumb to rest.
I ordered this to begin with: https://www.amazon.de/ACdream-Kobo-A...016+Release%29 Ill see how it goes. Edit: Now I came across this, which might be even better: https://www.amazon.com/Compact-MoKo-...Reader+2016+Re Fingers crossed Last edited by Dino84; 03-31-2017 at 01:18 PM. |

I just bought the MoKo ultra compact case from Amazon UK, and can report that there are 2 concealed magnets - one half way up the side to hold the flap closed, and one correctly positioned above the KA1's sleep/wake sensor.
The hinge is still a bit stiff so I can't be certain, but the KA1 stays awake when the flap's folded back. So far so good... |
