My ONE is in a modified iPadMini case, so the magnet doesn't work at all. Now when I put it in my bag (I've used a messenger bag for the last two or three weeks almost exclusively and before that a roomy handbag with a handle, not over the shoulder style) it still doesn't flap open. That being said, even though the bags are roomy they don't offer enough room for the ONE to fall to a 45° or bigger angle. Which makes me think your reader seems to have far too much space to flap open in your bag than is normal. So for normal in-bag-use I'd say, even a cover without a magnet or a with a week magnet would stay closed unless the reader has too much wriggle room and the bag is shaken badly. What it comes down to is: I'd have answered your question with a confident yes, too, assuming it is in a bag with comparments that aren't wider than maybe 2 (?) inches. Why is it, your reader flaps open? Or what do you do to it, for it do act like this? Also, you were pointed in a direction that seems to have been better for your style of use and still chose to buy another style just because you like it better, trading looks for function. It is hardly fair to take your obviously unfortunate decision out on others. Like I said, I am sorry you don't like it, but I really don't understand why you don't like it exactly. |

So which is it? ETA And regarding your remark about form and function for the price: Sweetpea has the same cover, manufactured at the same time, so there is no "different batch" thing going on and seems to find the ability of the cover to stay shut sufficient. If someone has special needs to feel secure and is pointed to a solution, yet selects the product that wasn't recommended as meeting their needs, how is this the sellers fault? It only costs $4.99 in a sale. If I can get it in black (but I don't really dislike the image in this one either, for a change), even shipping it to the Netherlands for $15 or so would make it worthwhile. Last edited by Katsunami; 11-06-2016 at 10:28 AM. |

They have a cover with a clasp to keep it shut. That's obvious enough. Then I asked: "Will the version without the clasp stay shut on its own?" The answer was: "YES, it stays shut because of a magnetic fastener." Now I get the cover, and it doesn't have any 'magnetic fasteners' of any kind. It opens, just like a book would, if you turn it upside down. The reason why I want it to stay shut on its own is because in my work bag, I normally only carry some papers and a 3 inch thick lunch box. The reader is beside the lunch box, or in the front compartment, and in both, it has the space to open on its own. I know I could change the bag and put the reader somewhere where it doesn't open, but that it's not the point. I want a claspless cover, without anything sticking out or any metal parts, as I've had on my KPW1 for four years. Noreve support answered 'yes' to the question of the cover being able to keep itself shut, and they were wrong. That alone is enough to return the cover, apart from the fact that it turns off the reader when folded back, or the reader pops out as soon as you put a bit of pressure on the lower left corner. Anything to remedy these problems falls in the category of 'you'll have to hold the iPhone differently compared to normal phones. Then it will have good reach.' (Search 'Antennagate' for more information.) |

My KWP1 cover has three magnets: one in the top right and bottom right corners (to keep the lid shut), and one somewhere else in the lid to keep the reader sleeping. You *CAN'T* use the wake/sleep magnet to try and keep the cover shut, because there is nothing for the magnet to stick to. THAT is the magnet that is too strong, and the reader detects it from the back, when the cover is folded backward. |

This is the black version of Terisa de Morgan's case, on Amazon.de
I've ordered it. It only costs €8, and €3,50 for shipping. It should be here on Tuesday. It's even a bit cheaper than my KPW1 case, which cost something like €15 including shipping. It provides everything I want in a slim fit cover: - Stay shut (at least, the pictures say so) without any protrusions, clasps, or metal - Sleep/wake function - Folding backward - Wrapped-around corners, especially on the bottom (or the cover is crap to hold) I assume the cover also has a cutout on the back for the button. Being a slim-fit cover also foregoes the need to make ugly cutouts in the front. My KPW1 cover has a cutout for the logo, but it's in the middle, on the bottom, and well done, so I don't mind it there. The KA1 cover would need a cutout on the top right for the light sensor, and most have a cutout on the lower left for the logo, which I think is totally useless. It looks ugly. Ever seen a slide-in cover for a Kindle Voyage? That's just a joke. Cutouts for the light sensor, logo, and the side buttons. There isn't much of a front left on those covers. Readers with stuff on the front (Voyage, and to some extent, the KA1) *need* a slim-fit cover. |

I just hope that it's actually the one shown in the images. If not, it gets returned. Fortunately, Amazon.de has free returns. Last edited by Katsunami; 11-06-2016 at 10:53 AM. |

Black slim-fit cover by Forefront cases, on Amazon.de.
It gets 4-5 stars in reviews. I've ordered that one as well, for €12.50 including shipping. Hoping I like one of the two (MoKo or ForeFront), the other gets returned. |
