In the first case, I installed KUAL + KOREADER with the BIN + OS Update file, but this method is easier to understand

Should we keep the Kindle offline to avoid any OTA update after ?
Or does the hotfix keep the jailbreak with 5.14.3 ?

Hi there,
thansk for the help, I JB for my Kindle Voyage.
When I trying to jailbreak my Oasis3 [5.14.2] with following all the steps, I failed:

1. step 4 wasn't appear, so I just go straighfoward to step 9.
2. cd to kindle, and mkdir .demo, put in KOA3-5.14.2.zip and demo.json and new folder goodreads.
3. When I disconnect from PC, and press done on kindle, nothing happened.
4. In this case, I press exit from demo, then tried 'get started'. But only kindle get start document.

I'm pretty sure my steps were following the instruction.
Anyone give me some suggestions?

Unfortunately I am now stuck at installing JB. Folder tree looks as follows:


Then when I proceed with the instructions:
- eject my kindle from PC
- pressing 'done' at the bottom of the screen
- going to settings -> help -> get started

And nothing happens. It just displays "Get Started" site.
I checked two times and im on 5.14.1.1 and Im using PW5-5.14.1.1 folder.[/QUOTE]

Please Help. I have the same problem. I am on 5.14.1.1. and PW5. After press "Get Started". No reboot. I have the G:\.demo on the root of my kindle. I also have the goodreads folder, demo.json and PW5-5-14.1.1 files inside the .demo folder".

The .demo folder needs to go in the root directory of your kindle. You currently have it in mnt>us>.demo

If during the jail break, you will leave the demo mode after the application :
Update_hotfix_watchthis_custom.bin


If you want to perform a factory reset:t :
Download factory_rectore_faill
Extracts the file "do_factory_restore" to the root of KINDLE and shuts restart it.

The installation was positive on both my Kindle: the regular PW3 (v5.13.6) and standard Kindle gen10 kids edition (the same firmware version v5.13.6).

The only difference in my situation was point 8:
"If an application error occurs, hard reboot the device by holding the power button, enter the demo menu again and select Sideload Content -> Done once more without connecting to USB"

This was possible only with connection to USB.
