Reading recomendation while waiting on Peace Talks
Did not take much time lately to post anything here. Mainly because I was too busy to read through Wired by Douglas E. Richards. A real page turner - well unfortunately not classfied as urban fantasy, but that doesn't make the book any less interesting to read. It is the category of SF/spy/terrorism/special forces/conspiracy/corruption/computers/technology/philosophy/you name it. IMO it captures a good mix of all that and more. Full of surprises, nothing is ever as simple or easy as it appears. If you think you get to the end something new happens that will capture you. There is a sequel to it (Amped) that I borrowed from KU this morning right after finishing Wired - and I am itching to start reading it. Wired is just as good as any Tom Clancy book, if not better as it doesn't show any signs of Clancy-desease. Just the right lenght, nothing excruciatingly dragged out. Subtle hints everywhere that will make sense later on.

I am afraid to spoil the plot too much, so I will leave a description out - the ones (e.g. on Amazon) do a better job anyway than I ever could. I suggest turning off any indication on how far along in the book you are - that will keep the tension going. No more - oh I am at 85%, yay, it will slow down and explains it all to make sense. The reality is, the book is not over until it is over. The biggest surprises come in the end. Without knowing how much longer the book is, the suprise after the last one will be even bigger. That is what I like about my ereader - the ability to be in the dark about how far along in the book I am.
