I think my favorite was the one with the swans. That one knocked me out!!

I'm slowly working on a book about the imaginary adventures of some mice.

The caption for this one reads "Hush, Kipanya!! You must be quiet! We are in big cat country now!"

Wow! And I thought I could make things! Gee! I only, Tat, knit, crochet, do indian beadwork, wirewrap, make jewely, draw & paint. I'd say photography, except I'm just now learning to do photography.

Congratulations to every one! We have many talented people on board. I wish though that we could sample some of the programming that many members of MR do because as I've often seen, we do have crafty people in these domains also. Peverel's robots are amazing, imagine the programming in that!

I'm afraid also that some people around here, who to me are special, did not show their works. Zelda is a graphic artist, Vivaldi Rules draws and Montsnmags does photography. I've seen bits of their work and there definitely is an artistic eye behind it. It would please me very much to see some of it.

Some of you know that I've found work as a plug maker for concrete molds. Here is a picture of a styrofoam and epoxy carving of a renaissance classic. This is the reason I don't write much these days.
I've set a Troll in the picture to give an idea of size, roughly 12 inches(30cm) high by 48(122cm) inches long. Just kidding! It's 45 inches high(115cm) by 142inches long (361cm). It's by far the biggest carving I have attempted so far. For many practical reasons I carved it out of extruded styrofoam, the type without lttle balls. I veneer it after with a type of epoxy plasticine called Apoxie to give it a hard surface. Then I'll refine the shapes with traditional wood carving tools.

For those who want to know, carving foam is the pits. It finds its way everywhere. I clean myself with blasts of compressed air only to see it come back on me because of the static buildups. The house is filled with it eventhough the carving takes place in my shop/garage.

There are no words... everyone's artistic endeavors are simply stunning. I don't think I have any pictures, but I've dabbled in (I say dabbled because I seem to be a Jill of all trades and mistress of none)... embroidery, crochet, making quilt tops, candle making (my favorite), and sewing (clothes). I have made bead jewelry, but it's nothing compared to the rest of y'all's work. Now, the Daughter Type Person draws...boy does she draw. I'm hoping eventually she'll start painting, too.

I draw a little for fun. I lack both talent and training but there are tons of bizarre things that I see in my head (does that surprise you?) that I'd love to try to put on paper somehow. Here are an old drawing (from a photo) and a page of scribbling in the album on my profile page:

I'd like to confirm that Marc does some beautiful photography. I wish I could find his web page but I can't right now. And Zelda is something of a graphic design contortionist/acrobat/dancer with some beautiful web designs. I hope they will both share these with you in some way so that you can see what I mean.

Seriously, I like that, pencil is really more difficult to master than one can think. Again more difficult if you have no model.
