You think I haven't been trying to leave? Let me tell you. The only reason I joined this nuthouse was to get some fast-track therapy for my little blue friend. I figured if I attended a MobileRead Annonymous meeting by proxy (for my friend of course, who couldn't make it due to a scheduling conflict with the fish), that by speed-reading, talking fast and doing the time travel thing, the blue one could complete the 12 steps, and the extra 3 for bonus points, and be on the wagon and headed for home by sunset (Central Standard Time.) But Nooooooooooooo . . . I handed over my ill-gotten $300 stimulus check to the laddy at the door, signed the register and I was in (piece of chocolate cake.) But what did I get for my $300? No literature, no instructions, no check list, nowhere to sit, no money-back guarantee (even WITH a restocking fee), not even a receipt so I could show fiscal responsibility and accountability to our taxpayer descendents how their unending tax debt helped stimulate the economy 4 generations ago. No one ever mentioned this was a for-profit self-help animal farm with no “Exit” door. I feel so used. Now that rich laddy bas__rd at the door has his money he won't let me out. Now I'll NEVER get back to Kansas. (Oh, wait. I did’t come from Kansas.) Where in hell am I and how do I get back to . . . . where was that? The Noosaville exit? So PLEASE help me get outta here. I'll just go sit in the corner now and wait to be released. |

There is an exit tunnel, but no one has ever found it, except Neko. She guards it now and, rumor says, charges an exhorbitant troll to pass. You heard me, troll.

If you're talkin' 'bout me, I'm not new. I've been around for a couple years. I just don't like to make rash decisions. I like to check out the neighborhood before I go walking down the street alone in the dark. (Thats where this place is right? Some deep, dark place in my mind? Or is it in YOUR mind? Whatever.) I did background checks on every one of you. Even the sidekick squirrel that pshrynk refuses to acknowledge is on his head (the dolphin needs help - maybe a pshrynk - we can take up a collection.) Oops. Gotta go, it's past quittin' time. |

I think Lady Blue is really another Pshrynk alias, so that he can get more votes for the Kindle giveaway.

That's a great idea, since I'm no longer eligible, but no.

Once you start reading, you're lost. You could try to hold out for a month, two at the most, but then, you're sucked in and never released. Stupid me, I saw there was a forum in November, and in December I registered... | |
