I just repeated the steps you did (apart from downloading the FW, because I had it already). Everything went smooth.

Maybe you can check again, whether the new libnickel is in your working folder. Or maybe something happend with the kpg.conf. Maybe you entered one superfluous space or linebreak or something like that.

Actually, I attached a zip file. The php extension might have been added by the download process (but this does not happen on my browser). If the file size is 635 bytes, just rename it to kpg.zip.

Unfortunately, I don't have them. I even don't know how to find for instance the Bypass code-injected values in the `My line spacing values` patch. Maybe GeoffR can enlighten us.

I managed to process your .conf - alas kpg.exe came back again with the mismatch error.
Thanks a lot for your help nevertheless. I give up and change to patience mode until V11 of Kobo Patcher

I guess the V11 will arrive soon. One last point, the libnickel.so.1.0.0 of FW 3.0.1 has a size of 21.201.480 bytes.

Well - in fact I did not give up
Did it all again from the very beginning and suceeded finally

Right now I got Footer, Font Size, Margins, Line Spacing set to my wishes.

Do you know any other 3.0.1 compatible patches?

Hi Jackie, Thanks for the offer - I didn't realise nobody has tried it with the Aura yet. I think I'll wait until some kind person has posted some changes that work for the Aura as otherwise it seems it would be rather a trial and error situation that is fine if you can keep creating the new file yourself and then installing it, but not really ideal if it means emailing back and forth to try out different options. I'll PM you when I have a config file I'd like to try, if that's OK.

The reason the cover is shown after reopening a book that was previously finished is because at finishing the book, the cover path is saved in the database as the current page on the first TOC entry...

For instance, after finishing a book, the main book entry will contain on its ChapterIDBookmarked the path to the very first TOC file (as usual), and on that specified entry, the adobe_location column value will contain the cover file path...

Why is the cover path saved at finishing a book but first TOC entry is used when opening a new book? Only God knows...

Regardless the method, If Metazoa can force to start from page 1 when the ReadStatus is set to 0 (without breaking the TOC and bookmarking features), he is very good at patching ^^;

Since I've already passed that info to him before and he tried to do it in some other way I'm thinking it may not be as straightforward. And if he doesn't have a test book on which his current patch isn't working right he probably won't even start looking.
