I don't know how long the 3.7 beta has been out for Kindle Previewer 3, but I can't seem to find a link for the 3.6 beta. Anyone have one? Has anyone tried the 3.7 beta with this plugin?

I am currently in the process of testing the plugin with 3.7. The plugin produces some warnings during conversion, but appears to work.

Version 1.6.0 - 23 Dec 2016

Add support for Kindle Previewer 3.7 beta. (Previewer version 3.7 is recommended for use with this version of the plugin. It converts some books with unusual formatting that previous versions could not.)

Fix bug that caused some problems with the NCX TOC to not be corrected before conversion.

Awesome! If I have an azw3 and an epub of the same book, do you recommend using one file format vs. the other to produce the best KFX with this plugin?

The internal content of an azw3 is equivalent to an epub so it shouldn't make much difference either way. If one of those is the original format then I recommend using that as the source for conversion.

I recommend either of those over a mobi/azw file.

Wow! I finally got this to work today on my Mac, kind of unexpectedly, after updating the plugin and the previewer!
Thank you so much for your effort, this is really great!
Now I only have to figure out why some books show covers while others don’t...

Amazon has released Kindle Previewer version 3.7.1 beta, although the download page still shows 3.7 at the moment. The conversion function of the new version is unchanged from the previous one and remains compatible with this plugin.

Cool. Was sent here from thedigitalreader. Has the success rate in converting epubs to .kfx changed at all in the last couple months? Wouldn't mind owning a Kindle but no way am I reading the unformatted stuff, and the conversions were not easy...

Conversion success has improved with each new Previewer beta version. The version released in December now converts almost all of my books, but some still fail. I can't say whether it is good enough for your purposes or not.

I 've found a problem with the successfully converted KFX files. The Vocabulary Builder does not works in these books. Please help me with this issue. I heavily rely on Vocabulary builder to learn English.
After some Google search, I think I should try to make Kindle recognize the converted as a book instead of a personal document. I did it successfully by adding the corresponding ASIN, my Kindle automatically download Thumbnail for the book, but Vocabulary Builder still not works.

I have tried a variety of metadata changes and have been unable to discover a way to make Vocabulary Builder with with sideloaded KFX books. Sorry.
